A surveillance camera captured the moments a good Samaritan got walloped on a Midtown sidewalk in New York City on Wednesday morning after he tried to help a homeless man by giving him his coat.
The 59-year-old victim got into unexpected trouble after he tried to help 25-year-old Xavier Israel, who was lying on a sidewalk in front of 476 5th Ave at around 8:40 a.m.
A lot of homeless folks are totally nuts. Interacting with them at all is dangerous.
God bless the guy that tried to help his attacker, though.
Don’t feed the animals - leave it to the experts 🤪
No good deed goes unpunished...................
Yep, no telling what was going through the homeless dude's insane or drug-addled or drunk mind. The good Samaritan should have simply asked the guy if he wanted a coat rather than trying to tuck him in like that.
Rabid animals are known to bite the hand of those that try to help them.

It’s New York. Waddaya f#cking expect?!
Not every reason a person ends up on the street is an innocent one.
Never, ever interact with “homeless” types. Doing so is only asking for trouble.
“Xavier Israel”
That’s an Amish name no?
anyone on the streets is there because they WANT to be there and don’t want to follow shelter rules like... no drugs.

Black Israelite.
More evidence that there is such a thing as too much compassion.
Every virtue taken to its limit becomes a negative.
The vast majority of the permanent homeless are the result of ECT and major tranquillizers. The mental health charlatans are fully aware of what they are doing. Using drugs and shocks they create a permanent class of insane people. Then the shrinks demand more billions to “solve” the problem.
Always follow the money.
Sometimes, even sustained eye contact can send the wrong message. It’s a primative impulse, one we still have in common with Apes.
Dealing with the homeless is like petting a strange dog. You’re taking your chance at getting severely hurt.
Just a few days ago, at 11:30 pm on a snowy evening, there was a downcast and disheveled middle-aged woman crossing the slippery, snowy intersection, attempting to wave-down cars, and to communicate, for some unknown reason. I didn't see any other people, nor a traffic wreck or anything. I drove over a curb and sidewalk to avoid her getting any closer.
A leftist (female) relative in my car chastised me for not stopping and seeing what she wanted.
If you think someone may be in extremis but don’t feel comfortable engaging with them yourself, you can always call the police to come and check on them.
