Illinois police sergeant Marlene Rittmanic was begging for her life moments before she was shot dead with her own firearm by a gunman in a hotel last week, according to documents obtained by Fox News.
On Monday, Kankakee County State’s Attorney Jim Rowe said in court that Sgt. Rittmanic was pleading with the suspects at the time Sullivan fired the fatal shots into her. Sgt. Rittmanic was begging the suspects to just leave, saying ‘you don’t have to do this, please just go, please don’t please don’t.’ She was desperately pleading for her life.”
On December 29, 49-year-old Bradley police Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic and her 27-year-old partner, Officer Tyler Bailey, were shot while responding to a noise complaint regarding barking dogs that were left in a vehicle at Comfort Inn Hotel along a highway in Kankakee County.
Couldn’t link to the whole story, I was wondering how she was shot with her own gun. Anyway, the perps were your typical Amish thugs.

According to the story, she ran after her partner was shot. The punk caught her pinned her up against a wall and took her weapon. How that can happen to a cop is a mystery.

The recent push for more female officers to actually be pounding the pavement on the streets is great for PR to the woke crowd. Tactically, not so much.
There should be a national death penalty for Killing a Police Officer no matter what color you are.
She was probably trying to decide if she should pull her taser or the real gun. They should off those damn tasers, shoot to kill these perps.
and the execution should take place within 10 days of the conviction. Screw their appeals and “rights” when it’s a clear case like this. Just kill them.

Uh he’s probably a relatively healthy man she’s a woman. Basic biological facts don’t change just because she dons a uniform.
Perhaps she shouldn’t have been a cop. Not everyone is cut out for that job. I don’t understand how you get that close to an armed police sergeant after you’ve shot one cop and not be shot yourself.
May she Rest In Peace. The front lines of police work. The truth is many have been disarmed by assailants and in turn jeopardize their partners. In most cases they don’t possess the physical strength to take down a violent man. I hope the scumbags that murdered her get the death penalty and the sooner the better.
Absolutely not! Due process and equal protection exist for a good reason. No one is “ more equal” than anyone else. Of course unless you are pre- born, then our jurisprudence has no comment.

Expecting 120lb female officers to run around struggling with 200lb coked out drug addicts and gangbangers is not the most logical policy.
