Jesse Watters said Tuesday that President Joe Biden was “in bed with media” and predicted the 2022 midterm elections could be even worse than expected.
Watters said on “The Five” that the Biden administration was doing its best to “turn the page” from the Afghanistan withdrawal, and he argued that the media did not have to allow that.

Co-host Dana Perino began the segment by saying that Biden appeared eager to “change the topic after the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal,” noting the recently-renewed push for the $3.5 trillion spending plan and the focus on fighting the spread of the COVID Delta variant.
“Republicans are saying not so fast,” Perino continued, sharing a clip of Republican Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton’s thoughts on the issue.
“I understand the administration wants to turn the page, they want this out of the news,” Cotton said.
“President Biden, all he wants to do is build back better. He’s like can we just build back better? Remember he just wants to talk about happy things,” Perino added.
“That’s right happy things. You can’t shift the focus if you’re Joe Biden, he was never focused on Afghanistan in the first place,” Watters replied. “If he was focused on Afghanistan we wouldn’t have lost face, lost Marines, and lost all those weapons.”
“He wasn’t even focused on Afghanistan while he was giving a speech on Afghanistan, remember, Dana? ‘Before I update the American people on Afghanistan, Build Back Better,'” Watters continued.
He went on to argue that the media was not bound to look where Biden was pointing, adding, “Donald Trump, do you think they let Trump turn the page on COVID? … The media lets Democrats turn the page but they’ll close the book on a Republican. That’s how this works. The media is in bed with Biden. If Biden goes down, the media goes down because the Democrats go down.”
Watters concluded by saying that if Biden was unable to get infrastructure done and his poll numbers continued to slip, “the midterms are going to be more of a bloodbath than they’re already shaping up to be. So they’re going to say — which is damning — ‘We’re going to ignore stranded Americans in Afghanistan,’ and the fact that the president is considering turning the page on stranded Americans like you said in the A Block, that means he sees these stranded Americans as a political problem for himself, not a duty or a priority to rescue.”
“So, you know, he’ll spend this $3.5 billion,” he said, “And turn the page — trillion — but he’ll only get credit for inflation.”

Hurray. Democrats Lite will get a chance in power for a couple years.

Don't get me wrong, a decisive House takeover in 2022 is waaay preferable to the very ugly Plan B.
What I’m afraid of is if there is a blowout victory in the 2022 elections for Repubs, what will the Dems do between November and January?

Sounds like a crazy thought but the Soviet Union looked pretty solid in the 1986 when Gorbachev stepped in. Afghanistan, Chernobyl, and Reagan brought them to their knees and by 1990 they were done for.
It won’t be a bloodbath. If even if there are more people voting Repub the dems will manufacture enough votes to win. Who will stop them? We play 1 vote 1 person and they bring in copies of ballots by the backpack full. How can the dems lose? They get the polls and know how many to “run off” to win.
Repubs must be at every counting station and mail in drop off box day and night WITH CAMERAS to dissuade them. Do we have enough volunteers and who is in charge of this?
I like Jesse but his clueless. Midterms will be a bloodbath for the GOP.
It will be up to the local Republican party machines to be out in force on election NIGHT at ever counting place to make sure ONLY LEGAL BALLOTS ARE COUNTED, and NO MORE BUSTED WATER MAIN CRAP OR SHUT DOWNS AT 10 PM........................

Friday, our city will turn out along a route of about 20 miles to show our respect as the hearse carrying our Marine lost in Afghanistan makes its way from the airport to the mortuary.
Saturday is the 20th anniversary of the Muslim terror attacks. And lots of college football.
I expect the media will make sure that the Covid plan will fill the news all weekend, to the exclusion of all else. Our local reporters will be a bit torn, as to whether they report on the need to wear masks and be vaccinated, or the fallen Marine....
The media isn’t going to go down. They’ll continue to shill for the Dems, and the lemurs will continue to lap it up.
Problem is the Democrats cheated in 2020 and will again in 2022.

in about 6 corrupt cities where they had the manpower to harvest and execute their fraud. Difficult to scale that operation, although they are trying.
