Wonder if the celebrated Juneteenth at the club this weekend
To: artichokegrower
That sounds like something Robert E. Lee would say about slavery in Virginia.

Besides the hypocrisy involved in this, I really have no problem with it. We have freedom of association. That is only possible if disassociation is allowed.

No. Only Republicans celebrate Juneteenth. Besides I don’t see what the big deal is about a white guy belonging to a whites only club.
There are plenty of black senators and congressmen who belong to an exclusive blacks only club. No white people allowed.
It’s called the Congressional Black Caucus.

“Whitehouse” in an all “white” club? Sounds logical to me.

Indeed. Slavery was known as “the peculiar institution” which was a long tradition in the South (and the North).

Democrats are racist, it is a long tradition which Whitehouse is well versed.

Other than saying he would quit the club to get elected I have no problem with it either. As long as a black caucus is okay in the congress, whites should be able to have their own fraternal type organizations. If people were honest they would admit that groups are formed by having like purpose.

If he really wants this club to allow minorities to join, then perhaps he should lead a movement to make that happen. I'm thinking he won't do that.

Whitehouse is the most doped-up Senator out there. He reads what they hand him, and I think half the time he doesn’t understand what he’s saying.

Except Sheldon Whitehouse is one of these biggest a**holes in the Senate, and that is saying a lot. This is the senator who wanted to use RICO statutes to jail anyone who was critical of climate change. He’s an even bigger a**hole than Romney, and that’s quite the achievement. so yeah, this double-douche deserves all the scorn and derision possible to rain down on him.
