I noticed that you don't have to browse Free Republic by a particular forum such as "News/Activism", "General/Chat" or "Smoky Backroom", etc.

You can pull up recent posts in ALL FORUMS all at once by simply clicking the "Everything" link at the bottom of the "Browse by Forum" applet.

It's pretty amazing.

Know what? I read and talk to a lot of people here, and don’t pay an inordinate level of attention to many of them.

As for ‘applets’ - I don’t know how the gizmo works; I just read the instructions, and push the go-button.

(Sorta like my dishwasher, washing machine, vacuum cleaner....car.)

Now that you have that set, you can hide the Browse By Forum box (and many other items) using Account > Manage Blocks. Since I mostly read FR on my phone, I’ve disabled everything except Bookmarks and Tools, which I’ve placed at the bottom. My habit is to scan EVERY single article, so I don’t need Breaking News, etc.
