The Tokyo Olympics is bringing the hammer down on protests at this Summer’s events. Protests have become a focal point for many athletic events but they will be banned at the Olympics. This includes kneeling during the National Anthem and wearing Black Lives Matter apparel.
The International Olympic Committee wants the focus is to be on sports rather than protests. While divisive protests are banned, unifying messages such as “peace,” “respect,” “solidarity,” “inclusion,” and “equality” are acceptable.

Obviously, they don’t want to lose money or viewership
I doubt it will stop anybody. I already don’t plan to watch. No sense chanting “USA!” for athletes giving the USA the finger.
So will the woke, BLM, Antifa, racists, and US haters now boycott the Olympics?
Looks like there’s a difference of opinion between the “world community” and the US ruling class. Bet they didn’t expect that.
I guarantee there will be some “special” athletes who ignore the ban.
But they’re still going to allow men to compete in women’s sporting events. Sigh.
But not Trannies from Women weight lifting:-)
Can’t wait to see every female world record obliterated
Good on them! People don’t go to sporting events to have leftist talking points inflicted on them. NBA, NFL and MLB are going to have to learn this the hard way.
What about the black power salute seen in Mexico1 1968?
so the Olympics is racist now too
There is so much that is "unexpected" these days. Cause and effect - what's that?

Watch for this happen during the Kalifornicate Governors race;
Sinnce he-she Jenner filed The next thing to occur expect the Demorats will play up is that Olympic historians will demand that the Jenner gold medal be returned and marked for a woman’s swimming championship not men’s.
I agree. I’m sure there are some patriots who’ll be competing, but I’m pretty much done with spectator sports besides maybe golf if I’m ever channel surfing which I never do anymore since I dropped cable.
I thought I’d miss sports more than I do. In a way, it’s sort of like breaking up with someone. You don’t know how you’ll survive and then not much later you wondered why you didn’t do it sooner. It’s such a pointless waste of time.
Thank you, keep the politics out of it!

No other country on the Olympic committee is going to tolerate disloyalty and self-hatred as a form of “protest”.
Creating a rule is one thing; enforcing a rule is quite different.
