I don't eat it much myself but I'm going to let the experts weigh in on this topic.
Americans do consume 14 billion quarts of popcorn each year. That is enough for each person to get 43 quarts each every year.
Since I don't eat it much, not even a quart per year, others are bringing the average up.
I don’t have a kernel of an idea.
Corn, butter and salt taste good and popcorn is filling to a degree.
Corny post.
butter
apple cider vinegar
garlic powder
lowry’s seasoned salt
combine above and mix with popped corn.
Popcorn with rum and coke.
i’ll put olive oil or coconut oil on the popcorn along with garlic powder, tumeric, pepper and salt.
It's a pop secret.
I never eat popcorn but that sounds good. Add a little Kashmiri chili powder, some paprika, and voila—that is worth a try!
Its a nice way to eat corn...?
If you dont salt and smother it to death, its a good treat.
I’ll tell you why I eat it, Sunday evenings were always mom’s night off.
We had to forage for for ourselves and popcorn and leftovers were an easy option.
It became a family tradition.
We ate it because it was super cheap compared to other snack foods. Of course I’m talking 50 years ago....when our snacks were chocolate and bubble gum. Only rich people had chips.
Flavocol is pretty tasty, too.
I haven’t been to a movie theater in over 20 years - they’re too loud for me. But movie-theater popcorn was always a treat:

The smell, the taste, the delicate crunch, and how well it carries so many different flavors.
“Sunday evenings were always mom’s night off.”
My dad always got a bunch of donuts for Sunday nights. Enjoyed with milk.
When I was older I learned he was buying day old.
I was 21 when I had my first fresh one.
BUMP
Here in Nebraska, we love beef. And corn. Popcorn too. (It is different.)
I’ll grill a ribeye steak the size of a toilet seat and eat that with a side of popcorn.
Yeah, sounds gross, but I love it!
Popcorn is a binder for the REAL butter and salt.
Now I want some!
