Edit out a joke or two and its basically a disney kid’s movie. That being said, I didn’t hate the film even if it wasn’t as funny as the first one. Plus I like seeing Snipes getting more work. He might be a wacko in real life but I always liked his movies.

I did not see this one, but the plot of the original Coming to America was about a rich prince who learned the importance of hard work. Fair enough.

But then he gave expensive earrings to 2 bums, the old men from Trading Places. And I thought ...he could build and run dozens of local clinics for what they cost.

But the poor in his country are never seen...so excuse me if I thought the hero resembled Baby doc Duvalier who partied while Hait fell apart

A good sequel could be his American wife setting up schools and clinics to increase the standard of living of his people, who are described in the film as goat herders....something that many European princesses did, by the way.
