A top official just blew a major hole in the Democrats’ narrative about the January 6 mayhem that took place at the U.S. Capitol.

While testifying before Congress, Maj. Gen. William J. Walker, the commanding general of the D.C. National Guard, revealed the Capitol building was not “unprepared” for the chaos on Jan. 6th.

I have the book “The Rape of the Mind: The Psychology of Thought Control, Menticide, and Brainwashing” by Dr. Joost A. M. Meerloo, recommended by Rush-endorsed Stella Morabito in “10 Resources For Hack-Proofing Your Mind” (really, a 10 item reading list about brainwashing). The Reichstag book is about how the Nazis used a poor mental patient as patsy for the Reichstag fire. The Nederlander (don’t insult them by calling them Dutch) psychologist who was in their secret service in London noted how the lunatic’s force-fed story changed at least once, an x-ray into how it was all manipulated. It’s only who has control of all the media, because they can figure out how to keep the majority fat, stupid, well-fed and ignorant.

I read that too. What a lying d-bag.

Pubbies should get some military experts (not brass) to view some footage and testify whether they consider that a “military style coordinated assault.”

What happened at the Capitol wouldn’t pass as a half-baked rugby scrum.

I know, right.

My goodness we would be screwed if these people met up with a real ‘military style coordinated assault’.

They spend a ton of tax payer dollars on oodles of useless people and worthless security.

The shooter of Ashli was terribly trained.

They suck, that’s about the size of it.

That was the poorest excuse for a "military style attack" that I have ever seen.

No one defines what constitutes “notifying Congress.” Who? Name the MFer.

Don’t give me this “low level” email crap. There is a written procedure for such things.

From the article: “And his letter does not. But it is the Secretary of Defense [Christopher C. Miller] says that I have to ‘use it as a last resort.’ But the Secretary of the Army told me, and it’s – I have the letter – that I could not use the quick reaction force. It would… I will just read it,” Walker added.

“I withhold authority to approve deployment of the District of Columbia National Guard quick reaction force and will do so only as a last resort in response to a request from an appropriate civil authority,” General Walker read from the Secretary of the Army’s letter.

It does not say the date of the letter, but assume it was before Jan 6. Obviously there was discussion about needing extra security.

But it also begs the question why the quick reaction force was never called if the crybabies in congress so feared for their lives?

On a quick first read, the key element in the letter from the Secretary of the Army is the statement that the quick reaction force should be deployed at the request of the appropriate civil authority, and that only as a matter of last resort should the Army take such action itself.

This is precisely correct. The U.S. Army should not be involved in routine law enforcement and, when it is called to support local law enforcement -- as sometimes happens in riot situations -- it acts in response to the request of a governor or, in the case of Washington, DC, the mayor.

Mayor Bowser had received offers of support from multiple surrounding jurisdictions as well as the NG prior to January 6. She turned them down. She went so far as to write a public letter saying that DC was well prepared and that offers of outside support, while gratefully acknowledged, were unnecessary and were being refused. And DC was indeed well prepared for the typical Trump rally, as all such events in the past have been peaceful.

It is also reported that the congressional leadership didn't want the NG on the Capitol grounds because it would have been bad optics. They were mindful of the events of the past summer and the furious criticism that they had directed towards President Trump for deploying force against BLM/Antifa rioters, which the democrats were egging on. Having spent the summer denouncing Trump as a fascist for restoring order, they didn't want to call in the NG themselves.

So the NG was not deployed prior to the January 6 fracas because the mayor and congressional leadership didn't want it, and the Army/Trump administration wasn't going to send in troops to engage in law enforcement over the objections of the relevant civil authorities.

All this goes to prove that the District of Columbia should be granted statehood.

There were mentions of fifty capitol police injured. I contend that most were self-inflicted. At the back of the building, they were tossing flash bangs and tear gar at the crowd. Into the wind. I saw several officers rinsing their eyes out.

Trump and Miller brought the NG to Washington for their own reasons. They knew it was not necessary to send a bunch of military over to the Capitol building for minor false flag incident. It would have played right into the Commie rats and their hand maidens the MSM. It also might have interfered with the spec ops guys who infiltrated the crowd and scooped up laptops.

No, I believe that it indicates that the ARNG ought to be refunded at the federal level and made back into the original configuration as a state’s organized and funded militia....
