Please pray with me for my wife Jane suffering serve back pain

My dear wife is suffering from back pain radiating from the oblique muscles on the right side of her rib cage. We have seen lots of doctors. All say in is macular, but none have given us anything solid as to lifting the pain. WE go for a series of X rays today.

when I was a young nurse there was a doctor who would insist that his back patients to lie in a 90/90 angle in bed...no pillow...knees bent up on several pillows....

when I had severe back pain yrs ago, the only relief was being put on a medrol pack....oral steroids....

Prayers for your wife. If the pain has been persistent for many months or a few years and might actually be underlying bone pain and if your wife is in her sixties, I might suspect multiple myeloma as an outside possibility.

You wouldn't believe the number of people that haven't been promptly and correctly diagnosed when those above conditions are present. Multiple doctors are always missing the correct diagnosis of this blood cancer. Their failure to promptly diagnose make it hard for their patients to survive!

I’ll pray for her. I’ve had a lot of experience with back pain from when I picked up a lawnmower by myself (with an engine) from our basement to the ground floor and proceeded to shred my back to the point where I could barely breathe never mind sleep for weeks.

I’m no doctor but two things helped me (besides an actual doctor giving me pain pills and steroids), one was buying a Lo-Bak trax which stretches out the lower back.......

And another is my own invention, what I did was take a belt, meaning a belt used to hold up pants, and wrapped it around my waist where I had the most back pain and made the belt as tight as I possibly could then bent over and up a few times. That really helped me for some reason.

It’s been years since I had back pain at least that severe. Whenever it does come back I use the Lo-Bak and the belt trick and no joke the pain is gone the next day, no drugs or anything. Also if the pain leaves her, have her do sit ups regularly, weak stomach muscles contribute a lot to back pain. Actually weak muscles contribute a lot to many pains. Years ago I had a job where I sat on my butt all day for years and my leg muscles go so week it was putting tremendous strain on my knees and giving me a lot of pain and all it took was regular leg exercises to stop it. Have you tried a TENS stimulation device.. THEY WORK!!!!

TENS = Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator

IMO, one of the BEST ones made is the 'AUVON' brand and you can purchase it at Amazon:

You place the stimulator pads in the area that is the source of the pain. You can adjust the level of the electrical impulses. I set mine on the highest setting, usually. Doesn't ALWAYS work for me but most of the time it definitely interferes with my pain and reduces it significantly.
