We’ve been playing the blame game about coronavirus for months now here in the United States.
It’s President Donald Trump’s fault that the pandemic got out of hand. Or Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s. Or Mayor Bill de Blasio’s.
We’ve leveled blame at people who refuse to wear masks. Or those who continue to gather in large groups.
It’s gotten political. It’s turned Americans against each other. Everybody’s got some blood on their hands.
But we have to remember where this pandemic started: China. And we have to remember that that country’s Communist rulers lied about the virus from day one.
That’s why the United States and the rest of the world suffered.
According to a report from Republicans on the Democratic-led House Foreign Affairs Committee, leaked to the New York Post, the Communist Chinese under President Xi Jinping destroyed evidence, hid health care data, and suppressed doctors and journalists who sought to ring the alarm bell about the developing pandemic.
It seems that the final goal of the CCP was to put America to shame.
Communist China is the only country in the world that uses “anal swabs” for virus testing. U.S. diplomats are deeply insulted. The U.S. State Department said it is evaluating how to solve it.
According to a report by the Washington Post on the 18th, they obtained the minutes of the meeting of American diplomats, which showed that some American diplomats stationed in China pointed out that the diplomats were forced to undergo the CCP’s “anal swab” virus screening process, which was unpleasant.
The CCP government requires residents living in the area where the infection case is located to undergo multiple tests, including “anal swabs,” which triggered a backlash from the Chinese people, calling out “extremely insulting.” This January even triggered a diplomatic dispute. After a South Korean tourist complained to the country’s embassy in China for help, he changed to a stool sample test.
In response to this, the US State Department is assessing all reasonable solutions and will safeguard the dignity of US diplomats in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. But outsiders believe that the US response is not strong enough.
State-controlled media has floated the notion of anal swabbing for “high-risk groups” in recent days, citing claims by Li Tongzeng, a deputy director in charge of infectious disease at Beijing You’an Hospital. Some tests have already been conducted, and more are expected as the country moves into its busy Lunar New Year season.
Li says anal coronavirus tests are useful for cutting down on false-negative results among high-risk patients, because the virus can linger in the intestinal tract for days after it’s cleared out of the respiratory system.
The anal swabs method “can increase the detection rate of infected people” as traces of the virus linger longer in the anus than in the respiratory tract, Li Tongzeng, a senior doctor from Beijing’s Youan hospital, told CCTV.
