In The 1930s, The U.S. Government Nearly ‘Regulated’ Handguns

Our neighbor to the north doesn’t have a “Second Amendment,” so there is little that gun owners can do if Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau passes his sweeping gun reform legislation. Not only would it ban the ownership of so-called “assault-style” firearms such as AR-15s, but it could allow municipalities to even ban handguns – all handguns regardless of age.

In a press conference earlier this month, the Liberal Party PM said he would move forward with a buyback program in the coming months, but also said that the legislation would empower municipalities to restrict storage and transportation of handguns within their boundaries. Breaching of the law would carry a maximum penalty of two years in prison.

Such a move couldn’t happen in the United States, right?

We barely survived the Socialist regime of Roosevelt. Maybe we didn’t.

I sometimes wonder if the only that saves us..worldwide.. is a sizable number of people do not live in cities.
But “they” are both doubt working on that with their government school brainwashing and the government friendly media.

That is why there has been a constant effort to encourage people to move to the cities. In the cities its hard for people to maintain the rural thinking and habits.

Our neighbor to the north doesn't have a "Second Amendment, ...

Ours hasn't much force. We are only allowed certain arms. The courts have rarely run into a gun restriction that the court found afoul of the right to keep and bear arms.

Interesting that the same government that wanted to tax handguns the same as machine guns and sawed off shotguns, because it was said RIFLES were better for home defense, now wants to ban those very rifles.

If they can ban rifles they will be back for the handguns. Then the pump and lever action guns.

"Make no mistake. Freedom world wide is under relentless assault."

It is Satan's one world government prophesied in the book of Revelation. End Times is unfolding before our eyes.

NYPD and Tammany hall gave us NY’s infamous Sullivan Laws even before then, the strictest handgun regulations in the US.

The NFA of 1934 established a national firearm registry for Type II firearms (automatic/assault/battle rifles, light/heavy machine guns, sawed-off rifles/ shotguns, and other weapons of war). POTUS #46 JRB’s minions plan to mandate all semi-auto/ assault-style rifle owners to register their weapons under this bill. To put it mildly, it will be interesting to see what happens. NY & CT gun-owners balked at their states mandating the same back in 2013 shorty after the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting.
