Mike Pence: (02:42) And as our election contest continues, I’ll make you a promise. We’re going to keep fighting until every legal vote is counted. We’re going to keep fighting until every illegal vote is thrown out. we’re going to win Georgia, we’re going to save America and we’ll never stop fighting to make America great again. You watch.
Transcript time correlates with the Youtube video: Pence speaks at Turning Points USA event

One such moment occurred in June of 1954:
"Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"
Most Americans will recognize that as being directed to Sen. Joe McCarthy, and understand its impact. Many more Americans today, and perhaps more soon, will better appreciate McCarthy's concern, if not as much his method. Some today may better recognize the tactics employed.

Another such moment occurred August 18, 1988:
"Read my lips: no new taxes."
Spoken at the RNC as George H.W. Bush accepted the nomination for a second term, Wikipedia notes with droll understatement: "The line later hurt Bush politically."

And, on 22 December, 2020:
"I'll make you a promise. We're going to keep fighting. You watch."
It does not yet have its own Wikipedia page. But, I don't think there has EVER been a more crystalizing moment in American politics: not one in which the choices available were as clear, or where the choices made so clearly diverge from the rhetoric, and thus define the flawed character of the speaker, or the actor, as in that one moment, words and deeds were seen paired in distinct black and white contrast in the events following. The rest of the history, is yet to be written... and perhaps it is still too soon to judge, but so far, its looking like:
1. Pence, 2. Quisling, 3. Benedict Arnold
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vidkun_Quisling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benedict_Arnold
Americans, saddled with cadres of leadership like this... dull, and dumb... having no apparent ability to recognize it to object beforehand, and prevent it doing its worst... perhaps because of controlled media... watch, now, horrified as the last vestige of the light of liberty in the world seems on the verge of snuffing out.
Is Pence, and those who have sided with him, aware, or, like McCarthy, only indignant, surprised and a bit curious at being recognized ? Will Pence ever figure out he was the problem ? Or, is Pence more of a Benedict Arnold than a Quisling ? Time will tell, and it won't take long. Yet, all I hear now are calls for Trump to resign ?
Pence makes benedict arnold look a lot better.
Can we Freepers be a bit slower to cancel people?
Cancel culture is bad. Let’s not jump on that bandwagon.
His lips were moving.
Pence did as he said. We went 1-65 in court cases.
He wasn’t going to go outside established constitutional norms.
The real problem, regardless of the weakness of Pence, is the the electoral system is fraudulent beyond belief and not going to be fixed.
I’m sorry, but there were other things that he could have done, but Pence chose not to. Perfectly legal given historical precedents.
I’m done with him.
This is true. Arnold was a hell of a General, a born fighter. Pence is weak and not a fighter, no matter what side he would be on.
All he had to do was kick the can back to states requesting time.
But Pence is establishment GOP all the way. He and Paul Ryan, his BFF are probably laughing about it right now.
He also ghosted President Trump after the election.
“White House aide tells me today: “Pence turned on a dime. He disappeared on the President right after the election.”
Another aide said: “Pence is the one who started all this BS by getting Flynn fired in the beginning.”

And that would be why Republicans are constantly surprised when they elect Democrats as Republicans, or send Liberals to the Supreme Court, instead of Conservatives.
There is a difference between “cancel culture” that seeks to eliminate anothers participation in SOCIETY... and good judgement, that seeks to exclude your enemies from your own leadership.
If it was returned to the state legislatures, they would have sent the same results.
The problem was the mass mail in ballots. Unless that is stopped, it will be near impossible to win.
Repeating my comment from an earlier Pence thread ...
Pence took off his mask when the Senate was called to order last night.
I was looking forward to the debate about the Electoral College votes, but I just gagged and turned off my TV.
In recent days, probably like many here, I began to think of Lin Wood as mentally unbalanced. I no longer think that way.

Pence was always a snake, Like Reagan and GHB...Reagan was told in order to get the nomination he had to take Bush Sr.
Like there was only ONE problem!

Pontius Pence has taken the Lord’s name to do evil. He is an heretical dead soul.
You don’t know that. Two of the state legislatures were very close to decertifying, but they needed more time. Several of the state legislatures were not yet in session. If one of them decertified, there was a good chance that other states would, too.
State legislatures should have had the opportunity to decide what to do.
Flynn should’ve been Trump’s V.P.
So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Yes.
The real problem, regardless of the weakness of Pence, is the the electoral system is fraudulent beyond belief and not going to be fixed.
No the people running the elections in certain states were fraudulent... Need to change how votes are counted.. Maybe go back to original ballots and hand counts.. No putting in machines and no fixing ballots..
