The mask doesn’t protect the wearer from Covid.
I wore masks when necessary and still got COVID.
To avoid COVID, hang a dead albatross around your neck and stand within a circle of burning incense. Masks only work when you soak them in bat blood.
Does it mean that only 15% of Covid infected patients didn’t wear masks?
Most virus’ are spread by touching your face and especially your nose and eyes. Guess where most of the mask touches?
Add vik vapouurrub to the mask nostrils. Turpentine kills everything.
Not “despite”, “due to”.
It’s now obvious that the ostentatious wearing of masks has become a form of virtue signaling and political correctness, rather than a magic bullet to avoid the virus.
Masks are very helpful in protection from Karens.
I bet the technicians would love to know that they could be way more comfortable and just wear any old piece of cloth from home over their face.
On August 26th I posted this on FR: “Ive asked before and still havent received an answer: what percentage of people who tested positive for COVID-19 used masks/face coverings before they were tested?” I guess I’ve finally gotten the answer.
bttt
The damned things don’t work...because they CAN’T work. Fauci was actually correct when he initially said for people who were well to NOT use masks - that was consistent with what the CDC had found in 20 or more years of studies.
Folks, if your underwear and jeans can’t stop a fart from getting through, those flimsy masks won’t stop a virus. In both cases, the particles responsible for the unpleasantness are FAR smaller than the cloth mesh that we’re using to “stop” them.
He may not be wrong.
And 99% of these 85% are too stupid to understand that wearing the facemask below the nose is useless.
Must be something to this. I wore a mask once for all of 10 minutes. Never got covid that I know of.
Is it theoretically possible to test masks for virus particles stuck to them to see if there is human DNA that can be tested and whether or not said virus particle came from the wearer or from another person?

My best attempt at an answer..which nobody has done so far.
I think maybe. I’m not sure just how large a DNA sample has to be to have enough to be tested. Years ago, t was a fairly large saample, and the whole thing would be destroyed by the testing process.
More recently though, other testing procedures have been developed that can tae a very small sample and multiply it into one large enough to test, plus leave some for later use.
In the former case, the bac of a postage stamp or a cigarette butt could be enough, but would be destroyed by the process.
Newer tests make it possible to use an oral swab (q tip) and have plenty to spare. I think, based on my limited knowledge, it should be theoretically possible. The inside of themask should provide a sufficient sample to isolate the DNA of the wearer, the ooutside should have enough to test if it has enough the virus can be positively identified.
I may be completely wrong too...but I think it should be possible. They can test a really small sample these days.
So this tells me you are MORE likely to get coronavirus if you wear a mask.
