If masks work, then why do biolab technicians who work with these very same types of viruses wear elaborate negative pressure “spacesuits?”

I bet the technicians would love to know that they could be way more comfortable and just wear any old piece of cloth from home over their face.

An even bigger question is why all these years patients weren’t required to wear them while in the waiting rooms at doctor’s offices, particularly in the primary care setting inasmuch as many patients are there to be seen because they have symptoms of a respiratory illness that may be a virus that they think may have turned into bronchitis or a sinus infection. I mean, shouldn’t they have been doing so to keep the other patients who are there just for a check up safe?
