US Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) made another clumsy television appearance today. On "Fox News Sunday," Duckworth struggled to speak grammatical English and made several more bizarre statements.
Duckworth continues to insist that Russia is paying bounties to members of the Taliban to kill US troops in Afghanistan despite the fact that numerous US intelligence agencies have dismissed the claims as being uncorroborated.
Duckworth also alleged that the Department of Homeland Security is kidnapping ("mostly peaceful") protesters off the streets of Portland, Oregon where the US Court House is under attack. Duckworth doubled down on stupid by stating that universal background checks on gun purchases could have stemmed the violence in Portland. Not sure how restricting gun sales would have halted the use of Molotov cocktails.
Duckworth supported amnesty and a path towards citizenship for illegal aliens. No surprise.
“She’s just not very bright, bless her heart, but those artificial limbs give her a leg up.”

Yet the Democrats constantly tout her combat injuries as proof of her patriotism and valor. As a soldier, however, she did not compile an impressive record.
She was in the ROTC and the Illinois National Guard. Most people believe she was looking for college tuition money.
Duckworth has compiled a mediocre record as a politician and did even worse as a veterans administrator in Illinois and D.C.

Listening to Duckworth talk is a challenge to most listeners.
Reporters have to exercise care so as not to make a politically incorrect comment about Duckworth “sticking a foot in her mouth” or making “a stump speech.”
It may be a case that she is one of those persons who simply does not do well on television.
