Texas Gov. Abbott Falls for False COVID “Case” Reporting
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 06/26/2020 6:30:25 AM PDT by EyesOfTX

Texas hospital hoax ensnares the Governor. – Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced yesterday that residents in the counties that are home to Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio must wear masks whenever they visit any business establishment. His new order will become effective at 6:00 tonight, and will remain in effect through August 4. Which is fine, although it is sad to see Gov. Abbott falling victim to the “case” counting fraud the state’s hospitals are committing.

I’ve told you repeatedly over the past two weeks that every hospital in my home state – and I understand in many other states as well – have been scamming the taxpayers by classifying every incoming new patient who tests positive for COVID-19 as a “COVID-19 Related” case. It doesn’t matter if the patient is there for knee surgery or tonsillitis or to have their appendix removed, they officially become a part of the fraudulent COVID “case” count.

The hospitals are doing this because congress stupidly included a flat $36,000 per-patient reimbursement to hospitals for all “COVID-19 Related” cases in one of its early stimulus bills. So this is one big money scam, and there cannot be any question now that Gov. Abbott is aware of that fact, because his own spokeswoman for the Texas Department of State Health Services, Lindsay Rosales, confirmed that fact to JustTheNews his week:

Lindsey Rosales, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of State Health Services, confirmed to Just the News this week that the state is categorizing every inpatient in the state with a positive COVID-19 test as a COVID-19 hospitalization.

“The number of hospitalized patients includes patients with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 even if the person is admitted to the hospital for a different reason,” Rosales said.

Asked if inpatients in the state are tested for COVID-19 whenever they arrive for treatment, Rosales said, “Hospitals set their own protocols for determining when and if to test patients for COVID-19.”

She said the state does not keep track of the patients hospitalized with the coronavirus versus those hospitalized specifically because of it.

[End]

Which is exactly what I told you earlier this week.

Governor Abbott justifies his new order by claiming that “COVID-19 Related” patients are filling up the state’s hospitals and ICU beds, but that is not at all the case. Read the letter below from the head of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council:

Only 38% of available respirators in use for just over 1,000 actual COVID-19 patients, who make up less than 10% of patients in the area’s hospitals. For this, Governor Abbott includes a new prohibition on elective surgeries in his new order.

Madness. Absolute, utter fraud and madness. A reader asked me on Wednesday why I think this mis-counting of “cases” is such a big deal. Well, here it is: The intentional miscounting of “cases” is creating perverse incentives for political leaders to make bad policy.

To be clear: I don’t mind wearing these masks, and have been doing so since March on every trip to the grocery store or any other public place, if only to make other people feel more secure. I’m fine with it. What I’m not fine with is public officials making policy that is likely unconstitutional based on false filings made by hospital officials who should be held accountable.

Shame on Governor Abbott for supporting and refusing to acknowledge this blatant case of hospital fraud in the Lone Star State.

That is all.

It’s a Harris County/not Houston decree. What power does the governor have to enforce this? And previously the county had tried to enforce it on citizens, now the county commissioner just fines businesses if their customers do not comply.

Her fine is $1000. This from a woman who paid staff $2500 a day so to her it is no big whoop.

All you have to do is look at the number of deaths. I believe 41 people died of COVID-19 in TX yesterday. It’s a big state. People need to get a grip. It’s not like the virus is ravaging the state.

Abbott has been a real disappointment throughout this. He is playing right into the hands of the rats and their mail voting effort.

Businesses not individuals will be fined? Expect confusion and over zealous exchanges when untrained door monitors enforce their supervisors’s mandate.

Law suits and assaults expected here.

Abbott has been by far the biggest disappointment of this coronavirus nonsense.
When you need a lion, he turns into a mouse.
He may need to go get some backbone from Kristi Noem of South Dakota and Brian Kemp of Georgia.
He'd better not run for President. He is apt to go hide under the table if AOC barks.

That's very misleading.

Of course they'll count as a Covid case if they test positive. as they should.

The problem is the hospital won't admit them for non-emergency procedures if they test positive, so the hospital won't get the federal Covid money and the they'll lose whatever revenue they were going to get from the procedure.

Covid cases not requiring hospitalization, which is probably more than 90%, only hurt the hospitals.

You can’t get the Governor’s office on the phone. There is no answer. I have tried to call several times. Only email via a form. It’s pathetic as Texas was going back to 100% on July 4. I don’t know what Abbott’s problem is.

Just had a conversation with a nurse who works daily with COVID patients. She says paper masks are worthless. Either keep 6 feet distance without a mask or wear a hospital grade mask and visor and gloves. She views paper masks (let alone bandanas) as totally worthless and says the doctors tell her the same thing.

Masks just make people feel good, like they are “doing something”. They give false confidence. But people vote based on false confidence.....

The 6 foot rule is workable and keep your time around others SHORT. Then wash up frequently. My county has about 25 cases confirmed in a population of 240,000. 1 person is hospitalized.

Well, this stinks......Abbott just reversed our forward movement....

Gov. Abbott: Bars must close at noon today, restaurants reduced to 50%, outdoor gatherings limited

Just one day after temporarily pausing the state’s reopening plans, Texas is now increasing restrictions on some businesses in an effort to fight the spread of the coronavirus.

Friday’s new order from Texas Governor Greg Abbott includes closing bars effective at noon today (except for to-go service) and reducing capacity at restaurants starting on Monday. Also, outdoor gatherings of 100 or more people must be approved by local governments, with certain exceptions.

From Fox 26 this morning.

According to the order issued Friday, bars and similar establishments that receive more than 51% of their gross receipts from the sale of alcoholic beverages are required to close at noon Friday. Delivery and to-go service can continue, as authorized by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Restaurants, which were previously allowed to operate at 75 percent capacity, must scale back to 50 percent of the total listed indoor occupancy beginning Monday, June 29.

Rafting and tubing businesses have been ordered to close.

Outdoor gatherings of 100 people or more must be approved by local government, with certain exceptions.

CORRECT! No one knows the count of those dying of COVID. With positive COVID test...even automobile accidents are COVID deaths.
