Dr. Anthony Fauci, the polarising director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, slammed everyday Americans for refusing to go along with ‘authority’ on medical matters, and accused people of ‘amazing denial’ when it comes to ‘truth’.
Speaking on a podcast called Learning Curve, produced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Fauci charged that “unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are — for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable — they just don’t believe science and they don’t believe authority.”
“So when they see someone up in the White House, which has an air of authority to it, who’s talking about science, that there are some people who just don’t believe that — and that’s unfortunate because, you know, science is truth,” Fauci asserted.
“It’s amazing sometimes the denial there is, it’s the same thing that gets people who are anti-vaxxers, who don’t want people to get vaccinated, even though the data clearly indicate the safety of vaccines,” Fauci proclaimed, adding “That’s really a problem.”
Perhaps the real reason Americans don’t trust Fauci is that he’s consistently flip flopped and contradicted himself on ‘the truth’ for months.
The man also exudes authoritarianism, and clearly has a problem with anyone who questions his superiority.
Fauci also has a long history of being the front man for a network of powerful Big Pharma and Big Medicine interests, pushing vaccines and medicines in a clear conflict of interest.

Over the last two weekends, I have seen the full evidence of it in various forms.
Twice, I have had to drive a gauntlet of what seems to be high school age girls, standing in town commons holding signs about white racism and Black Lives Matter for viewing by drivers of passing cars.
Then, as I was driving through a five way intersection, there was a young woman in the middle of the intersection drawing a Black Lives Matter message in chalk in the middle, impeding traffic.
I rode my bike on a rail trail last week, and saw a young woman with colored chalk, taking up the trail, engrossed in her chalk portrait of George Floyd and a Black Lives Matter message. I had to maneuver around her.
Last night, as I drove home, I saw a cardboard sign in front of a house, hand drawn in multiple marker colors saying "Black Lives Matter" with a heart symbol.
A heart symbol.
This was the kind of sign you would see from a 7th grade girl, handwriting, multiple colors, the heart symbol.
The point is, in all of this, the unifying thing seemed to me to be they were all female. I don't recall seeing any young males, though I am sure they were there somewhere in those groups holding signs.
I have to conclude that the young females were far more susceptible to the emotional tinkering and indoctrination that have been taking place by the Left for decades.
This sounds like I am denigrating young women, but the truth is, that is simply an observation. (I could be wrong in drawing that conclusion, but I found the absence of young men involved in this both apparent and startling.)
It does not surprise me that there are vocal elements on the Left who want to change the voting age to 16, or even 13. I can see why they would want that.

Science (from the Latin word scientia, meaning “knowledge”) is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations. (definition of “Science” from wikipedia)

I would offer this rebuttal to Dr. Fauci:
1: I believe very strongly in carefully done and well documented science, It is the fundamental basis for our advanced standard of living for hundreds of years.
2: Most of what I have seen so far on the subject of this Covid-19 pandemic, has not been science, knowledge, or even “truth”. It has been , instead, ever changing speculation based on wildly inflated (and ever changing) “models”, deliberately misleading and fear mongering “death rate) statistics. Speculation, guesses, predictions based on inadequate models is NOT science nor is it truth.
3: And Dr. Fauci it right about one thing: I don’t believe “authority”, especially when it is based on speculative predictions and exercised as arrogantly and excessively as it has been in many cases from various leaders in this pandemic.
Just as there is fake news, there is also fake science. As for authority, I guess the same can be said.
Well if Fauci ever used in a legitimate manner other than political that is.
