President Trump's Quandary
Me | May 12, 2020

Posted on 05/12/2020 7:00:21 PM PDT by MinorityRepublican

President Trump successfully flattened the curve by calling a national emergency in March. The initial crisis has ended. Our medical system is well-stocked and is prepared to treat COVID-19 patients. So America should be ready to go, right?

However, there is a new crisis caused by Governors being too "cautious" and not willing to reopen the economy. Perhaps they would rather to attempt to prevent President Trump's reelection by sabotaging our economy. The Deep State insiders are enabling them. Lamestream media is covering the actions of the Deep State.

So what should President Trump do to rejuvenate our economy? Our country is being hijacked by internal enemies who would rather have the country collapse so they can create favorable circumstances where they will seize power.

Open the counties up to the limits of their hospital infrastructure.

Funny how governors are always bitching about the Federal gov’t trampling States Rights, but when you get a President who believes in Federalism, they either want to run the State like a dictatorship or they shirk from their responsibility. Come on, guys and gals, you can’t have it both ways.

I think Red states will do better than Blue states and I think voters will notice that in the Fall. It would be a mistake for Trump to seize power now and force the Blue states to be smart.

I hate the non-reopening but I’ve been thinking today that it may be politically advantageous for our side if the Govs keep us this madness against their own people.

Maybe that’s the only way to expose the Govs...in other words people are going to revolt against them in the streets, at the capitols and at the ballot box hopefully.

Go ahead dems/media...take the side of tyranny, cause that’s all it is at this point. Have we become an effing nation of cowards scared to death of getting sick?

It is a problem for Trump. Even though he declared a state of emergency, he did not declare martial law. Without the status of martial law he cannot enforce a state of emergency. So it is nothing more than alerting citizens to change their normal behavior and to free up funds for assistance to the people. The martial law was declare by each state within their status of state’s rights.

The only real thing within the power of the federal government that can control the states without federal martial law is interstate and international commerce laws. But that’s already been covered by the actions of each state with the freeing up of logistics and product dissemination.

So yes, he can only sit back and watch the states destroy the economy. Funny thing is, the states won’t have anything left whether Trump is re-elected or not. I believe the proper term for this is “scorched earth.” And their efforts to try to put what they’ve done over the last 30 years with the economy’s destruction is not going to be retracted. They buttered their bread..... And there isn’t a damned thing they can do about it either.

Better buckle up...we’re in for a bumpy ride.

The so-called “crisis” is all but over. All that remains are politically motivated leftist attempting to drag it out in an effort to destroy the economy and Trump in November.

Like everything else these deceitful losers have tried, it’s not going to work.

I believe President Trump and every Republican running for office this fall should emphasize these ideas in their campaigns:

Vote out of office every Democrat who is liberal or progressive, in every city, county, and state office, especially in the House and the Senate, and let's get America back to where she should be--free and prosperous.

Democrats hate America and do NOT want it to succeed. They want only their own greedy, selfish goal of running your life and your business, because YOU don't have enough sense to run your own life.

Democrats hate America, they hate you and they will destroy this country if they ever get control of it again.

They want to take away every freedom guaranteed in the Constitution and would have by now if they had control of the White House and the Senate.

Don’t worry about blue state s-holes. Those governors will be crapping their pants when they have their states hunkered down and red states are flourishing.

Our country is being hijacked by internal enemies”

Problem is, Trump and Pence are deferring to Fauci and Birx. The administrations office three- or four- phase reopening plan was written by Birx with Fauci’s guidance. It’s a go-very-slow plan

Imagine that you are to drive your car, where someone has rigged the controls, gas pedal, brakes and steering, to all take effect 30 seconds after any change you make. Drive through a crowded parking lot and it will be the Disney Ride of Death.

To look at WorldoMeter, if you assume that the lockdown did anything, it looks like it takes weeks or months for change to have an effect. The earliest effect you could see would be infections, and you wouldn’t want to wait for symptoms or hospitalization to see it. I don’t think you would have a chance in Hell of controlling what you’re doing.

By the way, this kind of crap is why sane peoples avoid biowarfare.

Repubs need to start highlighting how the shutdown is hurting real families. Loss of jobs, income, bankruptcy, businesses lost, etc. Real sob story stuff. Right now all we hear about is how it prevents infection.

open up the economy, Mr. Preident, and those States that refuse should be held accountable:

12 May: WaPo: Small business used to define America’s economy. The pandemic could change that forever
More than 100,000 small businesses have closed forever as the nation’s pandemic toll escalates
By Heather Long; Andrew Van Dam contributed to this report
The coronavirus pandemic is emerging as an existential threat to the nation’s small businesses — despite Congress approving a historic $700 billion to support them — with the potential to further diminish the place of small companies in the American economy...

But already, economists project that more than 100,000 small businesses have shut permanently since the pandemic escalated in March, according to a study by researchers at the University of Illinois, Harvard Business School, Harvard University and the University of Chicago. Their latest data suggests at least 2 percent of small businesses are gone, according to a survey conducted May 9 to 11.
The carnage has been even higher in the restaurant industry, where 3 percent of restaurant operators have gone out of business, according to the National Restaurant Association...

Analysts warn this is only the beginning of the worst wave of small-business bankruptcies and closures since the Great Depression. It’s simply not possible for small businesses to survive with no income coming in for weeks followed by reopening at half capacity, many owners say...

“We are going to see a level of bankruptcy activity that nobody in business has seen in their lifetime,” said James Hammond, chief executive of New Generation Research, which tracks bankruptcy trends. “This will hit everyone, but it will be harder for small businesses since they don’t have a lot of spare cash.”...
“It wouldn’t be surprising if well over 1 million of these micro firms ultimately fail,” Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, wrote in a recent note to clients, referring to firms with fewer than 10 employees...

Losing small businesses often creates a ripple effect in communities, especially smaller towns where little shops and restaurants remain the lifeblood of Main Street. These business owners often depend on each other, meaning as some shutter forever, it can trigger more to follow...
“This is culturally devastating for communities. Small businesses really help provide communities with a sense of identity and place,” said Patrice Frey, president of the National Main Street Center...

Let the blue states collapse, and let the red states take all their jobs and GDP away from them. It’s really that simple.

The red states will vote for Trump no matter what. It is the blue and purple states that are the issue. Trump got PA lost time. Will it get it in 2020? I have no idea, but the supposed sure-fire Clinton states that went for Trump were a little too close for comfort. I don’t have a clue who people will blame for the unusual issues now.

The blue states have a lot of citizens who don't support or vote for this garbage. PA has big pockets of D voters (Phila, Pittsburgh, college towns) coupled with a lot of fraud. Michigan is like that too. The good citizens of the state have to watch how late returns from Detroit change the outcomes of elections over and over again. If we had honest elections, many states would have vastly different leadership and electoral college input. It stinks to high heaven.
