There is perhaps nothing quite like the struggle of unexplained infertility. It is baffling, it is exhausting, it is all-encompassing, and above all it is so, so hard. It is also confusing. For couples struggling with unexplained infertility, anything and everything can seem like the culprit behind the thwarted desire to have a baby. You wonder, maybe youre not exercising or sleeping enoughthen again, maybe youre exercising and sleeping too much? Maybe its your dietmaybe youre eating too much of something, or not enough of another? And while you run through the laundry list of possibilities, and long desperately for a reason for your struggle, part of you is also terrified that you may find out that its a problem about which nothing can be done.
I know, because I have been there.
For over a year, my husband and I struggled to get pregnant, and suffered the devastating miscarriage of our first child. And even though we eventually found a fertility protocol (with the help of a few Natural Procreative Technology doctors) that helped us getand staypregnant, weve never been 100 percent sure exactly what the source of our problem was. But, undoubtedly, we are some of the lucky ones. There are many couples who have faced similar journeys, who are still struggling for an answer, without a baby to hold yet for all of their hard work and emotional turmoil.
Hope, of course, is so important in the struggle against infertility. And sometimes new research can provide hopeful clues that may lead to the answers for which couples have long been searching. According to some fascinating, recent research, for at least some of the couples struggling with undiagnosed infertility, undiagnosed celiac disease could be playing a major part in their continued struggles to conceive or carry a pregnancy.

10 more “scientists” will get grants to prove or disprove this. Grants are forever.
I’ve cut bread almost completely and certain problems that plagued me are gone or mostly eliminated.
When it comes to my case, there is something to gluten free.
Thank goodness I ate all that gluten.
all these people looking for answers, looking to medicine or science......neglect to consider God had a reason to allow the miscarriage or struggle to get and stay pregnant?
I speak as one who losy a child to miscarriage.
EVERYTHING in this life is about God and us either drawing closer to HIM and accepting His timing and results and seeing His glory revealed through situations or rejecting God and living with the why, and how come and how do I fix this so I can have what I want?
Sarah was barren for what 90 years, Leah for a while, Hannah same thing until she promised God she would give her child to His service. None of them needed fertility specialists - they accepted God had reasons for no children, and at some point God allowed them a child. Adoption or fostering are options. People today are too stuck on themselves.
I’m sorry about your loss.
thanks. only mentioned it so readers would know i wasnt just talking without a decent frame of reference to the topic.
Seems idiots will blame things like gluten, which they know nothing about, on just about anything. My sock came out of the dryer without the other sock, I think gluten is responsible.
Dumb comment like saying...I smoked for 50 years and did not get lung cancer, therefore smoking does not cause cancer. Anecdotal refutation are an excuse for thinking.
My T levels oftentimes flirt with Soy Boy, so I’ll take whatever I can get.
I’m guessing that you simply developed a sensitivity to it, as can happen as you get older. I have a borderline-dangerous sensitivity to artificial sweeteners now that I did not have 5 years ago, for example.
That’s good for you. But if you are female, you don’t want your T levels up.
I’m a male (sigh) . . . I don’t want puny 300+ levels of testosterone. I’m taking a shot every two weeks (monitored by an endocrinologist) for Low T, so that helps. (The ideal range is considered to be between 400 and 600 - I guess if it’s routinely higher than that, your prostate eventually balloons to the size of a watermelon.)
With a female you can have facial hair, small or no breasts and difficulty getting pregnant. That’s why I mentioned the no gluten. Also read flaxseed and spearmint tea can help women reduce testosterone levels.
Good luck to you.
Thanks.
Depending on age (40-50+), getting bio-identical testosterone injections is one of the best things you can do for your overall health. There are too many benefits to itemize here. There is a reason that younger men (teens - 30's) have rare heart attacks, higher energy, and higher libido. It's all about free testosterone.
As for prostate enlargement, I've been taking Saw Palmetto since my 40's as a preventative. It has long been prescribed by European doctors to counter enlargement. I just turned 70 this month, and never have to urinate in the middle of the night, where some men get up 2-3 times a night. Plus, my yearly blood workup comes back with normal PSE values for my prostrate. Saw Palmetto may not work for everyone, but I'm certain it works for me.
Here's another example of how some herbs actually work for bad life habits. I am a moderate to sometimes heavy drinker and take Milk Thistle every day. My yearly liver enzyme values are always in the normal range. It dumbfounds my endoctrinologist at my age and history. It may be just my genetics, but both both prostrate and liver norms? A multi-vitamin supplement also works. I've noticed that when I slack off, my hair and nails don't grow as fast.
Last thought: When you get your T injections, also get a B-12 injection. It only lasts a couple days, but you'd be surprised at the energy it gives you. Between T shots, I sometimes go for a B-12 if I have a high energy project. Don't bother with the over-counter B-12 supplements.
