A group of women whose lives were ruined after being coerced into participating in pornography has just gotten some small measure of vindication in a civil suit against the pornographers.
According to The Washington Post, a California judge has tentatively ordered a pornography company to pay $13 million to 22 young women after ruling that they were tricked and inappropriately pressured to make the videos which did not, as promised, stay offline.
The ruling, given last Thursday, was the latest development in the womens years-long legal battle against the owners of GirlsDoPorn, a San Diego-based business that made millions producing the pornography it distributes through its subscription website and other porn websites. The Post also reports that the company is also in the middle of a separate criminal case in which its owners and employees face up to life in prison for federal sex-trafficking charges.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Kevin A. Enright noted in the civil case that what made GirlsDoPorn especially popular was that the women in the videos are not professional porn stars but are amateur college-aged women filming pornography for the first and only time.

So, this is essentially a copyright dispute. They distributed the videos beyond their agreed, or imputed, copyright license.
Sure, the girls would argue that they never would have done the videos if they knew they would be widely distributed, but isn't that argument just haggling about price?
Hollywood portrays it that way. Nah - you're not confused. ;-)
You’re forgetting the women doing the porn.
I concur.
Wow!
I’ve been duly corrected by Theoria.
Thank you
Not sure if there really are pornography and sex traffickers on FR as you allege but there certainly are a significant number of low life dirtbags that will defend any type of illegal and disgusting activity.
Not really, not in this day and age where doxing is a thing, which apparently where the damages come in.
“Youre forgetting the women doing the porn.”
When I was younger and had a camera around, I found a camera was all it took for a girls to get naked in front of the camera. They craved the attention. No guys ever did that.
To your post, I've heard tell of a guy within a manosphere who had a blog detailing exactly what you said.
Women want attention, and panties drop for men in authority.
So since he had a camera, first he'd start the spiel about being a traveling photographer, and did they mind if he took a photo of them at such and such landmark or vista they were at.
Then he'd start giving them orders "to get a better picture".
You can imagine where it went from there.
All the more reason for women to NOT travel the world when single.
It isn’t a coincidence the phrase “attention whores” generally refers to women, men axting like women, and gay men.
Apparently q stuff drives people crazy.
On another subject he does look like a molester
but the article didn’t go into detail about everything these guys did.
We are thankful for that.
The repentant sinner, hanging on his cross asked our Jesus Christ for forgiveness. My Lord and Saviour answered: "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."
We know what they are Were just haggling over the price.
“Take your Thorazine zealot.”
Yeah, just trying to help you escape Hell.
I’m just the messenger. You have to decide what to do with the message.
“Your dragging in Scripture out of context, to give women a ‘get out of jail free card’ just so you can blame men more, just *reeks* of Churchian pedestalization.”
Wrong. I have no idea to what extent the women in this case were willing participants. I do know they were dealing with pornographers.
Some women choose to willingly participate in pornography. Many are forced, coerced, intimidated, threatened, tricked, drugged, raped, etc.
What I am speaking out against is those who on a conservative, faith-friendly forum choose to defend pornography and the pornographers.
Those who do so should be made aware that those pornographers are headed for Hell. Women who voluntarily participate in this will too. That’s a lot worse than “facing having her skull bashed in with rocks”.
There are those on this forum who never miss a chance to rush to the defense of pornographers and pornography. It makes it very clear that they are habitual users who are stubbornly resisting the commandment of God on this matter.
Porn destroys lives. It traps men and women (and children) in slavery. It leads people to Hell.
Many people struggle with porn addiction, and that is far different from those who, rather than trying to change, embrace it, love it, defend it, and financially support it.
“You’re forgetting the women doing the porn.”
I think the porn-defenders have said enough against these particular women already.
Women who choose to do this apart from being coerced in some form, are equally responsible and will receive similar eternal consequences. Often they experience horrific consequences in this life as well. Sometimes God uses these consequences (including things like these pornographers going to prison) in order to bring them to repentance and salvation.
The problem is that some on this forum use their hatred of “slutty” women as an excuse to participate in their abuse by defending and financially supporting pornography. But, in so doing, they are also financing an industry which targets innocent young men, women, and children for coercive sex abuse. Pornographers will entice with cash, yes. They will also kidnap, rape, drug, beat, or use many other abusive tactics to exploit people for sex and financial gain.
“Not sure if there really are pornography and sex traffickers on FR as you allege but there certainly are a significant number of low life dirtbags that will defend any type of illegal and disgusting activity.”
That’s not quite what I alleged. I said those on this forum who defend pornography are users and financial supporters of it.
I don’t know if anyone here has paid money to pornhub (which is where the particular porn videos of these particular women were uploaded according to the article and is one of the most popular porn sites on the Internet), but it is very likely based on the religious fervor with which some here defend it. Pornhub has also been guilty of publishing sex videos of minor females who were being raped. I’m not just talking about statutory rape either. Whoever gave them money to watch this is complicit in the eyes of God.
Here is one example. A girl between 12 and 16 in Florida was made to perform in porn and also forced to have an abortion from a pregnancy resulting from this repeated rape. Her videos were being disseminated by pornhub:

If a person is so hardened to not care about such victims, then they deserve the wrath that God has already declared they are going to receive. This should be a wakeup call, but many would argue if Jesus Himself came down from Heaven and told them personally.
“Even the worst slut, the most sinful woman, the most sinful man, has hope in Jesus Christ our Savior.”
Quite true, just as you have said of the repentant thief crucified with Christ.
Unfortunately many will remain in their self-righteousness, declaring they have done nothing wrong in their defense of porn and the pornographers, or even giving them money. They are more like the other criminal who was also crucified with Christ.
Luke 23:39-40
Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?”
I would liken myself to the repentant criminal upon whom Christ had mercy. He pleaded with the other criminal to repent, but his appeal was apparently unheeded, just like some on this forum. They will stubbornly resist the word of God and the reproof of the Holy Spirit while they fight their way to an eternity in Hell.
Too bad for them.
