A group of women whose lives were ruined after being coerced into participating in pornography has just gotten some small measure of vindication in a civil suit against the pornographers.
According to The Washington Post, a California judge has tentatively ordered a pornography company to pay $13 million to 22 young women after ruling that they were tricked and inappropriately pressured to make the videos which did not, as promised, stay offline.
The ruling, given last Thursday, was the latest development in the womens years-long legal battle against the owners of GirlsDoPorn, a San Diego-based business that made millions producing the pornography it distributes through its subscription website and other porn websites. The Post also reports that the company is also in the middle of a separate criminal case in which its owners and employees face up to life in prison for federal sex-trafficking charges.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Kevin A. Enright noted in the civil case that what made GirlsDoPorn especially popular was that the women in the videos are not professional porn stars but are amateur college-aged women filming pornography for the first and only time.

Hi, unlearner -
Don’t know you, don’t know you’re lifestyle, if you are male or female.
Just wanted to let you know to see ping #39.
You explained it very well.
I worked with a married man who had two daughters. Supposedly a rock solid marriage. Supposedly a man of good character.
One day he was telling me of a film he rented the evening before. It was about a young woman/teenager who had been kidnapped, raped and shot after being raped.
He was stunned as to how realistic this girl was acting. At the end of the film there was a blurb that this was a Black/Dark (? I forget the actual phrase) film and that the even was real.
I quietly asked him what the hell was he doing getting off on watching a movie about a woman getting raped. He said he didn’t know it would be real. I asked him what made the difference? What the hell was he doing getting off on a movie of a woman/teenager getting raped???
Changed my opinion of him. I let him know that, as well, that it could have been his daughters in that film.
When it came to consensual sex I was really a bit...uh...nonchalant... Before becoming a Christian and understanding the ways of the Devil and his minions and earthly sinning.
Movies like that? Wrong, no matter pre-Christian or Christian. Just my two cents.

But I was a feminist....
“Don’t understand your ping,” said she, eyebrows drawn together in confusion.
Then again, I am a bit slow on the uptake.
For the crimes alleged above, why hasn’t anyone been arrested and charged?
Neither did I. But the title sounds great, especially in this context.
It were better that you went straight from victim into Christianity.
Angel’s Revenge is a fraction better.
Using a micrometer of course.
I remember seeing Polaroid shots of school girls naked back in the mid 1960s. It created such a scandal in one town, (Roswell NM) that the newspaper had an editorial about it.

Pornography is evil. It dehumanizes us. It sinful. And to coerce others to participate is an even worse evil.
Since when has “pimp” become an acceptable career choice?”
“You sound like an angry feminist who was a slut in her earlier years and regrets it now.”
And you sound like a hypocritical pharisee who brought the adulterous woman to Jesus to have her executed (but did not bring their fellow male religionist to be executed in a like manner).
The pornographers and their defenders will burn in Hell.
It will not be me who decides this. Jesus will and, in fact, already has.
Matthew 5:28-30
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
John 12:48
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges himthe word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
ALL people have broken God’s laws—including the one about not coveting. The answer is to repent and trust in Christ for salvation. But those who persist in their stubborn impenitence and hardness of heart will experience the endless suffering from which He provided a way of escape by sacrificing Himself on the cross.
It may be that God will have mercy on these pornographers and they will find salvation in prison. I know those who God brought to salvation this way. But those who should know better, and choose to defend pornography and the pornographers to their dying breath will forever remember the words of Christ I’ve posted here. And their greatest torment will be that they CHOSE to go to Hell when they did not have to. Is porn worth it?
Take your Thorazine zealot.
Hey, they could still be people susceptible to promises for term limits.
I do not personally know of, nor can I readily conceive of, a woman who is completely sexually inexperienced, who would nonetheless agree, to have mutual masturbation / oral sex / intercourse, with a man she doesn't know, on camera, for money.
The corollary, is that these women *were* sexually experienced going into it.
And therefore, that they were "sinning some more."
Because fornication as well as adultery are forbidden in Scripture.
...and, for the nonce, the parable of the woman caught in adultery, was not being punished by being embarrassed in front of her friends, family, and co-workers (there wasn't such a thing as dating back then, so none of this girlfriend/boyfriend /"Netflix and chill" bullcrap)...
The woman taken in adultery, was facing having her skull bashed in with rocks, according to the command of God in the Old Testament.
Your dragging in Scripture out of context, to give women a "get out of jail free card" just so you can blame men more, just *reeks* of Churchian pedestalization.
These women want to have it both ways: to get paid for having sex on camera in secret, while pretending to all who know them that "Who? *Me*?" they are as pure as the wind-driven snow.
Go White Knight somewhere else.
“It were better that you went straight from victim into Christianity.”

You would be correct on that point.
The human mind and soul doesn’t always work that way, though, does it?
I found out what I became was often what sexual victims would become; a way of ‘recovering themselves’ so I’m told. The sexually abused falsely/mistakenly believe that they are the ones controlling their body at that point, not some other family member or stranger or family friend. All that does, though, is bury the pain with no healing possible at that time.
That’s why sexually abused folks, young and old, need to get assistance so quickly after the abuse has been discovered.
That said, there are lessons that I take to heart, moments where I know the Lord God spared my life. Gifts of sunrises and sunsets where I didn’t earn them, only given to be by the grace of the Lord God.
I can look back on specific days and events and with a breath’s intake marvel at the Lord God’s grace, if not for my soul, for the souls and lives of those with me at those times.
The shame Satan throws at me at the moments least expected about my life gives me pause to rejoice in the everlasting love and forgiveness of the Lord God through Jesus.
I’ll stop rambling, now. :)
And yes, it's true, about "thinking *they're* in charge" ; one may see, fairly often, a similar thing with a woman who persuades herself that a bad-boy she tingles for, "he just needs a good woman's love" etc. : when he (inevitably) breaks up, because he was just using her, she will
a) cut her hair short
and then
b) either swear off ALL men
or
c) go a little c*ck-crazy.
You post an extremely valid point!
I'm not so sure this rises to the level of criminal conduct, but the article didn't go into detail about everything these guys did.
I think some people need to get laid. :)
