Nunes Invokes The “Minority Witness Rule”

In an stunning development, Ranking Member Devin Nunes invokes an obscure House rule that appears to allow Republicans to schedule a special hearing and call any witness.

The “Minority Witness Rule” states:

When a House committee or subcommittee holds a hearing, the minority party members of the panel have the right to call witnesses of their choosing to testify on at least one day of that hearing.

Nunes is the man. Period.

He can now subpoena the whistleblower, which will create a massive poopstorm in DC as the whistleblower is someone with full knowledge of this saga and someone who was briefed by the future Ukrainian defense minister - aka the LTC.

They can subpoena Nuland and ask her about the state department partnerships with Soros in Ukraine and how she influenced their investigations and who ordered her to do so.

I also believe they can bring in Ukrainian witnesses to whom the state department refuses to grant a visa.

They will fight this tooth and nail, but if it happens expect them to make room next to the Custer memorial for the Schiff memorial. Both of them suffered the same disease of arrogance.

If Mike Pence elects to not run for Veep again, I hope the Prez would consider Devin Nunes as his running mate.

He's brainy, nice looking....and he would be a calm counterpoint to POTUS as Pence is now.

Plus, he would pull in a tremendous amount of the Latino vote.

I agree as far as it goes. But now, time is critical. Schiff is going to bring this to a vote in the Intelligence Committee shortly after these hearings conclude, at which time it will be walked over to the Judicial Committee, where the Articles of Impeachment have already been written, except for a couple last minute tweaks. Then, Nancy Pelosi will bring it to the floor and the whole chamber will vote. It will then be walked over to the Senate, and THEN perhaps the GOP will be able to issue subpoenas for those witnesses, which the Rats will object to, and will file an emergency motion to have the Supreme Court rule on it. Thus, a delay, which plays right into the Rats’ hands, as they will have just that much more time to use impeachment for the 2020 campaign season. Let’s face it: The Rats know there will never be a conviction in the Senate; they want to run against an impeached Trump.
