The incredible moment a little West Australian girl hears for the first time with the help of a hearing aid has been shared, prompting an outpouring of heartwarming comments from viewers.
Tristan Storer, of Mollerin in the states Wheatbelt, shared video of his daughter, Macy getting fitted for her hearing aid.
WHAT?!!??!!?
...sorry
What a blog. It’s very bloggy.
Perhaps you should try to promote it.
My Hay-fever is acting up.
I had seen this video. I don’t think the girl is “hearing” in the sense we would normally use it. She’s getting electrical impulses, her brain is going to have to learn what the impulses mean. At this point, I expect the “sounds” only had meaning if she saw her parents talking so she could make the association (parents & sensation).
Poor little girl was scared.....She didn’t know what was happening...She’ll be great after she gets used to sound and learns language...
I know you hate blogs. Warn the rest of the sheep here NOT to click on leftard sites like Wapo, LAT, NYT and not give them any web traffic..
Dust, ragweed, pollen; something is messing with my eyes.
Oh stop it! For once just stop. This heartwarming video should be shared. Heaven knows there’s more than enough disheartening news out there, so counterbalancing it with this lovely video is wonderful no matter from where it originates.
This is a thread where you aren’t needed....
>>Hope the girl will hear forever!!!<<
The deaf community will reject it wholesale. They WANT their insularity and special perks. They REVEL in their handicap and do NOT want it fixed.
I know this for a fact — my sister is a sign language interpreter and I have spoken with people in that community. They LIKE being deaf.
They should monitor the girls’ brain during this. Hearing strongly stimulates brain development, and when adults become deaf without correction, brain activity can be substantially reduced. It may even lead to dementia.
They dont have to listen to rap music.
They one time asked if I heard of COCHLEAR IMPLANTS.. I GAVE THEM A HISTORY LESSON I LEARNED FROM RUSH LIMBAUGH...
They set me up with UPMC in Pittsburgh and a great teaching Professor and medical surgeon. And I am now bilateral Cochlear Implanted..and love them...was the best decision I ever made..
I hear well and have hearing comprehension at 98%..and I'm older than dirt...had my first one in 2010 and my second ear done in late 2011.. I'm now 76 years old, creeping up to 77 come Feb.
I thank Rush for sharing his story of deafness to his listeners a long time ago..and so glad to learn he got his second implant as well..
HEAR NOW~~ HEAR ALWAYS... COCHLEAR IMPLANTS WORKS...

You cared enough to post about it and to ping some other folks to support you.

Your entire life here consists of pooping on parades.
