Say what??? I can hardly wait for the excuses as to how this happened.

A fire creeping through the sewers is nature’s way of telling you to leave. Now. That’s liable to find a gas line somewhere, and the whole place could get blown sky-high.
Schiffer's full!
Great Movie Volcano
PERSON HOLE you hateful freepers
Methane.
Maybe it’s from the SoCal Gas Company’s storage facility that was leaking back in Oct of 2015
I don't think there are any power lines in this area at all:

Methane.
Some of the smoke was awfully dark to be methane.
Since there are no power poles I suggest it’s an electrical fire
I would believe this is not good.
2 years ago PR had gas leaks. People getting headaches etc. Kidsgetting sick. jerry brown did nothing for months. His sister was on the board of the utility responsible.
I hope the leaks are all fixed.
Since there are no power poles I suggest its an electrical fire
There should not be anything electrical in the sewer. An electrical short circuit should trip a breaker quickly.
Embers entering the system can ignite methane which will then ignite other combustible materials in the sewer system.
And, depending on the subterranean composition of city facilities this can cause widespread damage. Gas lines being the most dangerous requiring the gas company to cutoff flow to prevent major widespread damage.
Sometimes transformers are in underground vaults. They are accessed through manholes.
There is no laws against putting electrical lines in drain systems. As they would need some way to handle spill water anyway.

Yep. And the dark color of the smoke lends support to that theory
