I have Restless Rider in the KY Oaks at 10-1. Still undecided on the Derby.
I predict the fastest horse will win again.
Tacitus at 14-1 looks very appealing to me. I thought he had an excellent derby prep in the Wood Memorial.

The Wood was odd last year when Johnny Velazquez was not DQ’d — I thought he should have come down — but later fined for his ride.
This year, there was the 15-day suspension eventually awarded to visiting rider Nik Juarez for his rough ride from the gate.
Tacitus could very well win, certainly in the discussion but not among my top picks just yet. I will wait for the draw and immediately scratch whoever draws the rail.
Omaha Beach will win the Derby going away, by far the best horse in the race.
Mike Smith’s decision to pick Mandella’s horse and not Roadster (Baffert) is a clear indication of Omaha beach’s potential.
Well, since they changed the words to “My Old Kentucky Home” decades ago they may still play it.
With the name “Omaha Beach” It would be great thing to see.
Some liberals want to ban horse racing.
i really like WIN WIN WIN....he keeps hitting the board running late and is bred for distances. The field is so wide open, he cold be a fat 25-30 to 1...
Jose Ortiz will def have TACITUS right there at the top of the lane....him and his brother Irad are probably among the top 5 riders in the world right now...
Save for later
Have to look at Long Range Toddy. He is supposed to be a late runner, yet he was up close to the pace in the Oaklawn Derby. This could be the tightener the trainer wanted. He will be big odds.
I believe I have “a dog in that hunt”. LOL
I keep hearing that... I DON'T see it in the record. There are at least 5 other horses that have run as well at Omaha Beach. The last time he ran against Game Winner, GW lost by a NOSE, but was gaining on him... despite GW having a horrible trip.
I like Omaha Beach, but... I don't see him as being much (or, ANY) better than Game Winner, Tacitus, Maximum Security, Roadster, or Improbable.
I think this race is WIDE OPEN.
Are my eyes deceiving me or did NBC ditch Johnny WEIRD and his homo celebration?
I thought about it for about a second. Haven’t seen that train wreck this time around. As Earnhardt Jr. put it, “It’s just like Talladega with better clothes.”
