Very afraid...................
The President should consider keeping it as scheduled. Let the Republicans all show up, and the Democrats stay in PR, their districts, or wherever the hell they’re lurking. The optics of the half-empty seats will be fabulous on TV.

You said it brother.
Shutdown is just an excuse for her. I expected that they would not extend an invitation to deliver the SOU until after 2020.
Just ignore the dried out old Biddy.
Tell Pelosi that Trump will give the address in the Senate chamber instead. Sadly, the seating will be limited so only Republicans will be able to attend.

Teleconference the speech from the border wall groundbreaking into the gathered house chamber. Lock them in while they are watching.
Security concerns my butt. She doesnt want to give him a direct platform to talk to the people.
I think every time Pres. Trump asks the Democrats to meet and negotiate and they don’t shows up works against them.
She realizes the optics wouldn’t be good for them.
Just posted why she doesn’t want it...live...before congress.
Trump should write the SOTU address, send a copy to congress, then present it to the American people via an oval office address.
Government shutdown is no ‘crisis’

This government shutdown is now longer than any in history. The media keep using the word crisis.
Shutdown sows chaos, confusion and anxiety! says the Washington Post. Pain spreads widely.
The New York Times headlined, its all just too much!
But wait. Looking around America, I see people going about their business families eating in restaurants, employees going to work, children playing in playgrounds, etc. I have to ask: Wheres the crisis?
Pundits talk as if government is the most important part of America, but it isnt.
We need some government, limited government. But most of life, the best of life, goes on without government, many of the best parts in spite of government.
Of course, the shutdown is a big deal to the 800,000 people who arent being paid. But they will get paid. Government workers always do after shutdowns.
Columnist Paul Krugman calls this shutdown, Trumps big libertarian experiment. But its not libertarian. Governments excessive rules are still in effect, and eventually government workers will be paid for not working. That makes this a most un-libertarian experiment.

She has some nerve. Nope, give it even if rats don’t show up. It just shows how juvenile they are.
Why doesn’t she just re-open the government by adding the Wall funding?
Hey Nancy how about Security Concerns at the border???
So, NOW she’s concerned about security??? Oh, wait — it’s HER security she’s concerned about, not ours!! Damn commie beotch! Give the SOTU, Mr. President — as scheduled!!
