In the first five minutes of this video, this woman goes on and on about how happy and excited she is because she just got back the results of her mitochondrial DNA test. She took the test because she wanted to find out which African tribe or tribes she is descended from. A person (male or female) inherits Mitochondrial DNA solely from their mother.
After five minutes of joyous anticipation, she finally opens the envelope and looks at the results.
She is absolutely devastated to find out that her mitochondrial DNA is of “non-African lineage.”

LOL!
yes
[and doesnt understand how mitochondrial DNA works]
yes
[So does she want to go to the Gap?]
I guess.....
LOL! This has got to be a well produced comedy skit worthy of the throwback SNL.
“A new study suggests that a million or more European Christians were enslaved by Muslims in North Africa between 1530 and 1780 a far greater number than had ever been estimated before.”
En-slav-ed
Look really closely at the middle syllable.
The term “slave” has been culturally appropriated.
It originally meant to treat someone the way the Turks treated people with names ending in -ski ( or -ska, ladies).
[Black folks seem to put their race ahead of everything. Very dangerous IMO.]
I noticed this especially during the Advent of Barack.
I don’t know if 88% to 92% voted for him (reportedly) but those percentages seems to fit with what I encountered.
I run across a few that don’t like him, which is good.
It’s especially hilarious watching her get all excited and then having to read what she doesn’t want to read.
Too bad I didn’t have popcorn at the ready.
I did. Thanks.
Actually I started about 4:15 and saw her get all excited, first.
The letdown was terrific after that.
When you're a white person in the hood and everyone is eyeing you so you clutch your wallet closerand head the other direction you'll hear "c'monback".
She is attractive but would look better without the coat hangers in her ears.
FrogDad and I did DNA a couple months ago. Mom hinted at Romani and Indian (feathers) history, BUT I’m a Nordic goddess (small g!).
86% Great Britain and NW Europe
7% Ireland and Scotland
7% Norway
I think she picks up the Dish Network with them.
.
She wanted Ghana, she got Guano.
Be careful what you hope for!
Elizabeth Warren may be of some help too.
Notice how all these looney Tunes are females, eh?
Another distant cousin showed me evidence to convince me that another ancestor who was supposedly taken in by the Sioux more than likely joined the tribe of his own accord. Fascinating stuff. People had to grow up fast back in those days and I came to understand why a 16 year old young man might choose the seemingly carefree life of a Sioux hunter over the drudgery of life as a pioneer farmer.
On more than one occasion I have witnessed 1st hand black folks actually judging other blacks on the lightness or darkness of their skin. Apparently some are absolutely obsessed by it. Very sad.
If I was her I’d ask for my money back. This girl can look in the mirror and see she’s at least partially Black. She is very pretty and obviously has some white features, but to say she is not at least biracial is idiocy. If the testing company says she is 100% European on her mom’s side then they do shoddy work or they got her sample mixed up with Rachel Dolezal’s. I will say her reaction was priceless, but I did feel a little sorry for her. Her shock and disbelief was genuine. It was obvious this meant a lot to her.
Yes, usually the dark skin is “bad” - I knew some very black men (and a woman) from Africa (working in America - this was only a few years ago). Always nice guys to me.
If I could help anyone, I’d help them.
