Look up Squirrel Catapult.
That should give you a project and entertainment.

I thought you folks on this thread might appreciate this...I know squirrels are rodeo vermin and can be quite destructive, but I enjoy watching them. I thought all of you might enjoy this 1:48 min. slow motion video of a squirrel trying to get a meal out of my motorized bird feeder outside my office! Guaranteed to make you smile...it is as if it were a teenager squirrel on a carnival ride!
Mr. Squirrel Goes for a Carnival Ride...he simply did not want to let go!
(Note: there is a Dropbox intro page in the way, just click on the link at the bottom that says "No thanks, continue")

Squirrel wins. The spinning feeder sprays seed all over the ground, the somewhat dizzy squirrel drops down to stuff its cheeks chock full.

Yeah. Mr Flibble lasted about a month before the stray cats got her. Can’t blame an obligate carnivore for being a predator.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To prove to the squirrels 🐿 that it could be done.
Why did the punk rocker cross the road?
He was stapled to the chicken...

He was holding on to allow as much seed as possible to scatter on the ground for him to gobble up when he dropped to the ground. 8>)

Yeah, I had a cat that would chow em down just leaving the stomach and the tail. Cats love Squirrel meat.
Same cat would kill a rabbit and just eat the brain.
?? I dunno why brains.
That cat disappeared, Coyote no doubt.
They got to eat too.

I give him full squirrel credit for that! You can just see it pouring out of the openings...
Well, sometimes you eat the squirrel, and sometimes the squirrel eats your seeds...:)

LOL...every time I hear someone use the term “rodentia” all I can think of is the Far Side cartoon with the scientists in their lab coats “Trapped like Rodentia!”

Eh. There’s animals and there’s animals! I get birds to eat out of my hand, but...I do wash my hands...after all, they carry all kinds of diseases.
I got a cat bite some years ago and it got infected, I spent five days in the hospital and had two surgeries, but...they just couldn’t eradicate the infection. I nearly lost my hand.
During that whole time, the infectious disease people kept repeatedly asking me if I had any contact with birds! I took that as having meaning...
