John F. Harris writes in Politico that many “top Democratic operatives” have “the fear that their party loses big power struggles because Republicans are simply tougher, meaner, more cynical and more ruthless than they are.”

Yeah. What happens when Ruth Ginsburg can no longer be kept on life support and the US Senate is more Republican and more Conservative, and no longer in any mood to be reasonable to dems? President Trump still has that conservative female judge not from the elite DC club on his list. If he nominates her or some other true conservative woman, what we saw with Kavanaugh will be a warm-up drill.
I do think they'll have their mobs go full-tilt crazy and burn down DC if that happens.

That’s quite the praise, considering we’d been calling them spineless gutless cowards until very recently.

It is impossible for anyone with half a brain to read that article without laughing out loud.
You know, lying to other people is one thing. Lying to yourself is another thing entirely.
I can’t imagine anything in the political realm to be more hateful and ruthless than what they tried to do to Brett Cavanaugh - and it’s not the first time. Bork, Thomas anyone?
The farther the Democrats (they’ve gotta change that name) slide to the left, the more hateful, ruthless and aggressive they become. At some point, they are going to push us too far and we won’t bring skateboards and bike locks.

In all sincerity, it is this kind of talk that concerns me because Democrats have genuinely become delusional and the consequences are ratcheting up.
The recent national display of deliberate ruthlessness by Democrats in the Kavanuagh episode showed most normal Americans that Democrats are willing to go to any lengths to access power. They proved willing to destroy individuals and families, and tear this nation apart for their political benefit. And the frightening part of this is that they have this utter delusion that they are virtuous. Somehow they do not, or cannot, see their own ruthless, lawless behavior. Like a psychotic, they project their violence and ruthless lack of decency on everyone else.
These people are beginning to seriously become psychotic and that ought to concern every normal American because they seem to be laying the groundwork for justifying violence.
You can see the progression here, first it’s “resistance”. Next it’s openly defying the rule of law, then it’s an open goal to delegitimize the Supreme Court, after they have actively engaged in sedition to try and take down the duly elected president. They seem to now be saying that violence may be justified because all else - for them - has seemed to fail. Difficult time may lie ahead. I pray not, but the left simply refuses to abide by any moral code and the rule of law.
