This is an excellent point.

You can see that the McCain approach has gone to the grave with him, by looking no further than Lindsey Graham.

Even Grassley, McConnell and Collins played this perfectly (in hindsight - even Flake - I think he stumbled unknowingly into brilliance, by calling the D’s bluff and handing them what they were foolishly demanding, a 7th FBI investigation, which was inevitably going to turn up zilch, the R’s deflated the entire D stalling strategy).

Trump has demonstrated how to win the R’s in Congress; and even the Stupid Party has finally learned a valuable lesson. Hopefully, the schooling Trump has given them, becomes the new normal; even after the teacher has long since left the stage.

There is a God, and He is sovereign. The Demonrats may win in November, but we must try to stop them nonetheless. If they win, there may not be an election in 2020. I’m serious. This one is for all the marbles.

I guess they just want to party like it’s 1918 or something.

I suspect that every election from here on out will be for all the marbles.

dems were so ruthless that it is undeniable that the democrat party has lost the right to govern and must be treated like the criminal organization that it is.

“John F. Harris in Politico: “many top Democratic operatives fear their party loses big power struggles
because Republicans are simply tougher, meaner, more cynical and more ruthless than they are.”

LOL....nobody believes this.

Another reason Dems keep losing.....their judgement of human nature is so frickin' flawed.

Classic projection.

Where's she been the last couple weeks?

What does she think what Kavanaugh went through was, a play date?

I wonder how they’ll react when his next pick is a woman?

What are THEY going to accuse her of? And when she denies it, re they still going to *believe* all women?

I suspect that you are far closer to the truth than anyone would like to believe. Part of the conversation during a Sunday cookout yesterday was how many of the judges on Trump’s list are scheduled for fatal or near-fatal ‘accidents’ when Buzzy assumes room temperature? Amy Barret is for sure a target and any other woman on PDJT’s list should up their security profile and life insurance.

A sad testament to what today’s left brings to our society ...

Your cynical assessment of the likely composition of the U.S. House strikes me as realistic. The only silver lining I see in this glum outlook is that two years of incessant leftist howling, extremist legislation, and malicious House Democrat investigations of every Republican under the sun will shock the country into returning control of the House to the Republicans in 2020. Naturally, Donald J. Trump himself will win reelection in a near landslide.

Admittedly, assuming slightly better Republican control of the Senate during this posited interregnum, I also see two more conservative Supreme Court justices attaining their seats, which would be rather more than a mere silver lining. All in all, the 2018—2020 period looks like an extremely noisy, hostile lull in the buildup to a historic 2020 decision on the soul of the United States.

Opinions on this event can and will vary.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for posting what the picture is about.

So many people on FR just slap up random images of scenes from history and movies and THEY know what it’s about but nobody else does.

It loses all its impact when the image seems unrelated to the topic.

If there is a God, these people will go down in the November elections.

*If*?

Trump is president.

Kavanaugh is SCJ and the dems did NOT prevail this time.

Lindsey Graham found his manhood.

God can do it again.

The question is what are we going to do about it. IMO the proper starting point is declare Antifa a terrorist organization and mass arrest its leaders.

Easier yet: Declare them a domestic terrorist group, RICO them and go after their money supply. They'll fold like a cheap suit.

“We are winning because we are turning back to God...”

We are winning because the President is keeping his promise to put Americans first.

Leftist politicians have not destroyed the middle class and run the economy into the ground out of stupidity. They have done it willfully, because they do not work for us, rather, they answer to their globalist paymasters.

Along comes President Trump, who can’t be bought, who is nobody’s fool, and who cannot abide bad deals. With a clarity of purpose and the simple knowledge that the American people have been sold out for a century, Trump appears resolved to do the opposite of sell out - to put America first in all things.

And, he is transparent about it - even advising other world leaders to do the same for their nations. He uses Twitter, huge rallies, and every other opportunity to plainly state his intentions; to comb through the federal bureaucracy, the legislature, and even the courts - to search out and destroy any polices, laws, regulations, deals, treaties, systems or agendas not in the best interest of the American people.

Trump sleeps only a few hours a night and has few vices to distract him - thus accomplishing an astonishing amount of agenda items, all of which are on the critical path, hardly any of which are reported by his fake news enemies.

Another great conservative leader, Ronald Reagan, built his agenda around the exact same principle of putting America first, and it is noteworthy that both he and Trump settled on the same core “doctrines”:

Peace through Strength.
Government is the Problem, not the Solution.
Play to Win - No Apologies - Win with a Smile.
Make the Republican Party Great Again.

“Have you noticed the fear in the media as Mitch is saying he will confirm a justice if one occurs in Trump’s 4th year if a vacancy should occur.”

He made it clear to Wallace that it would be outside the historical norm for an OPPOSITION party to have confirmed Obama’s SC pick in his final year. Not strange at all to confirm one in final year if The President and Congress are on same side.
