Who Would Have the Advantage in a US Civil War?
IWB ^ | Daniel Carter

Posted on 07/29/2018 2:01:47 AM PDT by davikkm

The escalation of hostility and violence in the United States is becoming undeniable. Over the past couple years alone, there have been politicians calling for increased antagonism toward Trump and his supporters, protesters (sometimes violently) confronting the police and ICE, violent clashes on the streets between Antifa and patriot groups, and many other instances that signify dark times ahead for the US. Almost one third of the nation believes a civil war is imminent. If this worst-case scenario becomes reality, who would have the upper hand?

Many on the right side of the political spectrum will hastily assume that they have the advantage because they have more guns. Republicans absolutely do own more guns, but many Democrats and Independents own guns as well. Will this advantage be enough to definitively win a war? It is hard to say.

“If things get ugly, the Donks could tool up very quickly. A couple of hours and a few thousand dollars at Cabelas (maybe more), and anybody can be very well armed.”

They’d have a 10 day waiting period in California.

“God only knows why people here act like the left somehow can’t shoot a gun too.”

They’d have to get over their phobia about touching one first. Months of individual psychotherapy followed by group.

11 southern states aren’t going to secede. It’s right vs wrong (NWO). And we all know who has most of the guns.

“I am talking about all the rat ferals in the inner cities. In a civil war scenario they would die of starvation in the first month. “

They would kill each other off over drug sales which would skyrocket in the chaos.

“And be swinging at the end of the Ropes!”

There would be Democrat politician windchimes dangling all over the place. I even have a play set in my backyard that could double as a gallows.

It’s nuts to fight a battle on the other guys terms when one does not have to. Where is the opposition group concentrated? Remove their resources, foster disruptive elements in their midst to vie for control, tie up the other guy’s efforts to keep order in his support chain.

One only need to create the consequences of an EMP within a highly populated region to be effective. Repeatedly breaking the grid feed to an area of interest as fast as repairs could be conducted would be one approach.

“the military will fight with precision bombs and drones just like in the Middle East”

And the democrats won’t like that at all.

Similar to scenario of smaller community survival as depicted in TV series “Jericho” amidst the various regional political orders vying for ascendance through isolated military factions.

A. A USMC rifle company would on our side

What side is our side? You mean my side, right? I'll be the one giving orders.

See how quickly that fell apart?

It will be a guerrilla war. And asymmetrical. In fact, knowledge of effective use of terror would be essential.

I agree with you. Since there is no geographic line that defines the sides (ala CW I), the combatants will be mixed together in all locations. It would be difficult to define the enemy. The best the combatants can do is to take out the leadership of the other side as they are well defined.

But honestly, I can not see how the whole thing comes about. I do not see a possible moment that is Lexington or Concord.

How’s your eyesight? We have clear sight lines East, West and South...our Northern perimeter needs some shoring up, so I’ll put you in the rooftop machine gun turret facing north!

As always, if the balloon DOES go up, all FReepers are welcome at my compound in SE Wisconsin. ;)

“But they know how to commit violence.
Look at the rallies and protests. It’s the Left who are out there breaking and burning things, beating people up.”

Democrat politicians order police to allow their violence and in some cases protect them. No love lost by police for the communist protestors. With the democrat politicians disappeared I’d like to think police would go insane exacting pent-up rage and revenge on the scum.

I seriously don’t think there will be an all-out Civil War. There will be the continuing drumbeat of the Socialists undermining our Representative Republic any way they can, but since we’re so familiar with their Alinsky-style playbook, we’re better armed to thwart them at it, now.

And we FINALLY have a President that’s on our side. He’s on ALL sides, but the hard-core Socialists won’t admit it, yet.

#Walkaway

Secondly, there will be problems in our major cities, so get the hell OUT as soon as you can!

“Why go to a war that kills up to half the population and decimates the country when you can use the V for Vendetta plan?”

Approximately half the population votes democrat. Vendetta plan is good during the mopping up period.

Who is talking about going into a war?

People who prepare won’t have to do a thing when the chaos unfolds. Me and my neighbors will be bunkering down, laying low, eating our supply of survival food watching the rats kill each other off waiting for the government to feed them. The wait will be a long time because there won’t be a government.

Just like in Katrina, we saw how the government of Louisiana and New Orleans bailed out. They could care less what happens to their democrat constituents when a a real crisis hits.

I can smell a rat troll a mile away.
