After taking a week to slam alleged sexual predator Harvey Weinstein, NBC’s Saturday Night Live poured great detail into a skit that mocked White House adviser and first female campaign manager to win a presidential election, Kellyanne Conway as a loon and for her makeup. In a skit resembling the hit movie remake of Stephen King’s “IT,” comedian Alex Moffat played CNN’s Anderson Cooper who was being lured into the sewer by his co-star Kate McKinnon, who played Kellyanne Conway.
After Moffat chased a piece of paper floating down the street and into a storm drain, McKinnon, done up to look like film’s iconic Pennywise, appears to tempt Moffat into putting her on TV. “Hi, Coopie … It's me, Kellyanne Conway. But you can call me Kellywise. Kellywise the dancing clown.”
“What did you do to your makeup,” Moffat asked in horror. With a paper-white face and long red streaks running down from her eyes, “I toned it down. Put me on TV,” McKinnon responded.
In order to entice her victim into putting her on TV, McKinnon offered the newsman some “crazy, crazy” quotes:
I'll give you a good quote. I’ll give you a crazy crazy quote. How about this: Ok so, Puerto Rico actually was worse before Hurricane Maria, and the hurricane actually did blow some buildings back together. And I don't know why Elizabeth Warren won't tweet about that.

Yes, our morning news ‘personalities’ in Phoenix had a real yuk-up about this skit. I thought what I saw on the news was appalling. And then I remembered it was the NBC affiliate and they frequently put in ‘news’ commentary on shows from their network. I figure at least they aren’t making up NEWS, at that point. But to have to promote their network’s entertainment programs in the middle of the supposed ‘news’ is pathetic.
As they grow up, I expect many SNL audience members will come to see that also.
They have to Palinize Kellyanne because she is a woman.
It was a hilarious bit. But only Kate could have pulled it off. She’s emerging as the best thing on the show.

I looked at the DVR to see if they got any different - opened predictably with Boring non-funny Baldwin impersonation of Trump - really bad. Then 5 out of every 6 skits was anti-Trump. I stopped watching because none of it was even remotely funny, it was dripping with hatred - not good for comic show.
SNL - always been a real a barrel of laughs.
