People who believe in extraterrestrial life are sometimes referred to in a mocking manner. In the ‘X-Files’ TV-series Fox Mulder is often referred to as ‘Spooky,’ but according to a recent article, maybe he should be called ‘racist’– if Mulder believes that aliens built the pyramids in Africa.
The Quartz Media article, “Outlandish theories that aliens built the pyramids are rooted in racism,” by Julien Benoit is critical of those who believe the pyramids or other ancient structures were built by aliens.
Some may call this belief simply "odd," but Benoit just out and out labels it racist.

Well, you may ask, so what? Who cares if relatively few people don’t believe the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids? What’s the harm? Actually, there is great harm: firstly, these people try to prove their theories by travelling the world and desecrating ancient artefacts. Secondly, they perpetuate and give air to the racist notion that only Europeans – white people – ever were and ever will be capable of such architectural feats.
Benoit says this racism branches out to Peru’s Nazca Lines, the stone circles of South Africa’s Mpumalanga province and other locations and cultures as well. Boiling it all down to “profound racism.”

Why is it so hard for some to acknowledge that ancient non-European civilisations like the Aztecs, people from Easter Island, ancient Egyptians or Bantu-speakers from southern Africa could create intricate structures?
The answer is unfortunately as simple as it seems: it boils down to profound racism and a feeling of white superiority that emanates from the rotting corpse of colonialism.
If you watched Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull or any of the Transformers movies, you may have endorsed this racist idea for entertainment value. Or at least have endorsed this “feeling of white supremacy.”
Because it seems, under the right circumstances aliens from outer-space can even make you be a racist.
Julien Benoit may be one of the dumbest ####ing humans I’ve ever known.
This person’s brain should be dissected (the sooner the better) to see how much plaque is in it.

Always found it odd that the aliens would travel all this way help build pyramids — but didn’t bother to teach humans how to make a true arch.

Great point. They could have also shown us how to make a thermos jug and create air conditioning while they were at it.

There are also those culturally proud persons who deny that there was ever slavery in Egypt.

I believe that slave labor was used to build the pyramids, but that is politically incorrect to acknowledge, since no Privileged Oppressors lived there.
That doesn’t matter.
Indigenous people of Europe are just white devils, the outcome of a science experiment by a black scientist in Mother Africa. Evil manifested in human form.
The Sumerians, Babylonians, Egyptians, and most other people of the ancient ME were Mediterranean Caucasoids. That is: White People. That is not to say pre-Columbian Americans or Hindus were white, but there's no racism in a white person saying that white Egyptians didn't build the pyramids.
There's a great deal of stupidity in saying it, but no racism.
Aliens are white? I thought at least some were gray? People used to think they were green?
Not sure how believing in aliens is racist. I have been called a racist but I don’t believe in aliens. I am so confused.
Another thing, they are claiming these racist alien believers are defacing historical things; we also have some of that type of vandalism going on in this country right now, tearing down statues and things.

So you all agree that as far as Julien Benoit is concerned, his grey matter lies.
This headline made me realize something. Apart from the premise of the article, I see what these social justice warriors are generally doing. Whatever whites do or think about certain subjects that is different than the average black or minority, that is attacked as racist. It’s really racism on their part, continually attacking whites.
They came a little after this
I’ll even coin the phrase. I will call it “racist projection”.
