23 or 24. I'll let you count, unless your screens get blurry.

Wow. So thankful for all those helping. My tiny donation is not going to go very far.

The man holding the two little dogs and has his head in his hands... screen got all blurry. Thank you for posting this, TSR.

Try donating to the Red Cross at Wal-Mart. You can add it to your total at the checkout line. Wal-Mart is providing a 2X match for all donations. I don’t know how long it will last, so do it soon. I did.

    Sorry, screen got blurry. BTT.

I understand looks can be deceiving, but a lot of these
folks being carried look perfectly capable of walking
 in knee-deep water.

I've seen a lot of amazing pictures besides those listed here. But one that I thought was a bit humorous and unusual was this one:

Midwife riding an inflatable swan to get her and her supplies to a patient

She couldn't wade through the waters (some deeper than shown here) without contaminating her medical supplies. One of her patients was in labor, and there were no boats available nearby. But one of her neighbors had an inflatable swan.

I’m with you. Only a couple of these photos looked like people truly in need of help.

I hate to say it, but that occurred to me, too, as I went through the pics.

Would have been better if it had been a storm.:=)

A storK, not a storm — damned autocorrect.

I like this one of the racist prividged guy exploiting immigrates. I wonder if he checked their papers before letting them in the boat? How much did he extort before picking them up?

However, I cannot help but wonder how that small boat allows a 90 HP engine?

When the Red Cross stops paying their CEO nearly $700,000 per year, I will donate to them. Until then, its the Salvation Army for me.

If he opens up that engine, that small boat will be a new and improved flying boat.

I wish someone would identify the street in pic #7.

The apparently able bodied man sitting on an inflatable bed with his kids while another man pushes the bed through the thigh deep water. Sorry, I’d be mortified to ride like that.

Note the registration. It is from Louisiana. A lot of his buds probably think he is way underpowered. A lot of them weld up their own boats. Plans, lofting? Not needed. They do it by eye. Scully’s down near Houma is the place for welded aluminum boats. They are pricey but heck for stout.

It’s good the boat is flat-bottomed, inasmuch as the water level at the cars in the background is maybe eighteen inches.
