I understand looks can be deceiving, but a lot of these
folks being carried look perfectly capable of walking
in knee-deep water.
I’m with you. Only a couple of these photos looked like people truly in need of help.
The apparently able bodied man sitting on an inflatable bed with his kids while another man pushes the bed through the thigh deep water. Sorry, I’d be mortified to ride like that.
Only thing I can think of is maybe they’re trying to keep their clothes dry because they might be their only set of dry clothes.
It could also be she’s a parapalegic and her wheel chair isn’t in view.
