Exploring the Kingdom of Carnivores: Comparing Bears vs. Bannons in Hunting and Sense of Smell.

Bear. According to the number of scent receptors, the bear has the best sense of smell of all terrestrial mammals. Black bears have been observed to travel 18 miles in a straight line to a food source, while grizzlies can find an elk carcass when it's underwater and polar bears can smell a seal through 3 feet of ice.  Source

Bannon. An intelligent animal who draws its prey into their own self-made traps before devouring them. Bannons are cunning at preparing bait (controversial tweets and seemingly outrageous comments) to attract partisan journalist prey.  The delicious nature of the bait causes a feeding frenzy among editors and reporters hungry for raw meat and the sense of power they get sneering down at lower strata mammals they consider deplorable and stupid.

Bannons encourage their press prey to gourge themselves creating fake news and following trivia such as the meaning of "wiretapping" or the significance of high heel shoes on Oval Office couches. These feints of the bannons serve to misdirect the press at opportune times so the important work of Making America Great Again can get accomplished without interruption. Then just as the prey is at the height of its pride and has spread its fake stories from Peoria to Siberia, the bannons go on the attack, exposing intelligence they knew all the time, intelligence that proves the partisan journalists were liars and hit-below-the-belt cheaters from the start.

Bannons are believed to have best sense of smell of all political mammals. It's reported that
Grizzly-faced bannons can smell a future Fake News reporter carcass directly through the Ethernet and even 3,000 miles of glass fiber.  Bannons are also dogged fighters, not surprising since the species shares an ancestral link to the fierce honey badger.

That’s funny stuff. I love Bears and Bannon ! I see a black bear almost everyday once April comes around. I live in the White Mountains in NH . It’s a huge national park/forest. I got to drive some of Trumps campaign staff around when he would come to NH. A few times Bannon would hang around out back talking on the phone by the cars we kept running. He was quite friendly.

This ties in well with the next thread. I’m not sure how, I just sense that it does.

Good story, Billy. From what I've read about Bannon he does seem to be a great guy.

A couple of well-written stories are out there about Bannon.

Steve Bannon, the Second Most Powerful Man in the World (Time Magazine) -- this story paints Bannon as a dark figure but the piece has helped make Bannon famous and it's fun to read despite the obvious hits.

This Man Is the Most Dangerous Political Operative in America (Bloomberg) -- wonderful story (from 2015) that follows Bannon's career from the beginning. A lot of inside information on what makes Breitbart tick. A very long article but well-worth the time for it gives insight on the large media business. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/is-steve-bannon-the-second-most-powerful-man-in-the-world/ar-AAmx0Tg

Sure, GOPJ. Thanks.

You know, it’s very odd you should ask because just today I saw your comment about Trump having good instincts — being able to see the forest from the trees.

I was almost going to give you an attaboy for your comment. But actually it was your comment that prompted me to explore the sense of smell and discover which animal has the best sense of smell — which led me to bears, then to polar bears, and then to dropping a picture of Bannon and comparing him to bears.

One way or another, all paths lead back to the same place! Cheers.

Thanks LS. I was thinking about you today actually because somebody here in Georgia is giving a talk on the Battle of Leyte Gulf this Saturday. I’m gonna have a listen in.

Be it bears or Bannons, you are about to see the big kahuna of all kahunas in the next few days. The trap was set and the trap was sprung. The lion will be feasting for days on both white and dark meat.
