The recent mass shootings that have occurred around the world, including the tragedy at a gay night club in Orlando, Florida, brings up the issue of what you can do to help yourself survive a mass shooting in a public place. An act of terrorism or violence, domestic or foreign born, can happen anywhere and at any time.
The following suggestions are meant to make you think and plan ahead to increase your chances of surviving a mass shooting in locations such as a night club, sports or concert venue, movie theatre, restaurant, etc. Each incident and the circumstances surrounding that situation will dictate your reactions and choices. This discussion is not to make you paranoid or to live your life in fear, but to allow you to enjoy yourself and prepare to act quickly, when you least expect to be fighting for your life.

if you hear the government is holding a drill, stay home that day
Just hit the deck, unholster your own PPD - and watch and wait until the shooter comes your way then pop him/her and hide your PPD.
And refuse to go anywhere defenseless. If I can’t take my gun, I am not going there.
Find out if the shooter is a Muslim. If he is, it isn’t about religion so it’s OK.
That is how I feel.

I used to fly a lot on business. I never got on the plane without at least two items that I could improvise into weapons. And I didn’t even take up knitting.
I have to drive to Ft. Knox with my husband and daughter and I would love to take Smith and Wesson. We will be unarmed from PA to KY. Not very happy.

I don’t usually carry but I do observe that rule. I don’t enter gun-free zones.
As Gen Mattis is supposed to have said "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet".
However, I posted this blog information for armed Freepers that may want to pass the information on to their weeny friends, family and others that you may care about, who for whatever reason are not and do not want to be a firearm owner, with CCW.
