Conservative Blogger Comes Out as Gay Following Orlando Shooting

After a gunman killed 49 people in a terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando, a prominent conservative blogger came out as gay in Monday blog post.

Jim Hoft is the proprietor of Gateway Pundit, a stridently conservative blog best known for its anti-Islam and pro-Israel stances and its embrace of anti-Obama conspiracy theories. Hoft has long been open about his sexuality to his friends and family, but never publicly addressed the issue.

“Like most gay Americans, I don’t wear my sexuality on my sleeve…” he wrote in a blog post cross-posted to Breitbart. “I’ve been a conservative activist for years. But today I’m coming out as a conservative gay activist.”

“Last night at least 49 gays were slaughtered at an Orlando club. Despite this obvious Islamic attack, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are still in denial,” continued Hoft. “I can no longer remain silent as my gay brothers and sisters are being slaughtered at dance clubs.”

Donald Trump, he argued, was “the one man who can lead this nation and protect all gays… I pray that gays will come back home to the Republican Party – no more death. Dear God, please no more death.”

Hoft is one of the best bloggers there is. Sad to see this happen publicly, but he is trying to make a play for gay voters to vote against Hillary. I do NOT think it will work, though. Only Jews are more idiotic when it comes to voting against their interests.

I am glad he does not need to rub his private life in our faces. The most reprehensible thing about the “Gay Agenda” is its insistence that we validate and embrace their perversions and obsessions. If they kept it behind closed doors we may not have even been aware that they exist.

Another gay guy, Milo Yiannopoulos, is funny and very articulate. He’s been experiencing more discrimination for being conservative than being gay. They try to shut him down on the university campuses, because he has a huge following.

Jim Hoft has been a valiant and stalwart warrior on behalf of conservatism for decades. His service to the cause has been as valuable as it has been untiring.

I'm a Gay Activist, and After Orlando, I Have Switched My Vote to Trump

I'm also sad that the events of Orlando have shattered my political beliefs, as I can no longer swear allegiance to a peace-love-and-unicorns progressive philosophy that only helps to get my fellow queers killed. Yes, there is a war between religious fundamentalism and the spirit of love and tolerance. But we progressives here in America still labor under the delusion that the religion we need to combat is Christianity. But that's a strawman opponent, and has been so for decades. Since the 1990s, Christian extremists have essentially lost all their power, and are now toothless nonplayers in the "culture wars." Meanwhile, Muslim extremists, with guns, murder us, and on the left our only response is to bleat about "Islamophobia" and jump through hoops trying to explain away the self-evident religious motivation for the killings...
