Team Trump Preparing “Political Punch to the Face” Against Cruz Campaign?
Team Trump Preparing “Political Punch to the Face” Against Cruz Campaign? ^ | April 10, 2016 | DC Whispers

Posted on 04/10/2016 10:52:56 AM PDT by Art in Idaho

Will these whispers turn to shouts?

The word behind the word is that Paul Manafort is already earning his keep BIG TIME as he moves to deliver a stunning blow to the Cruz campaign a source describes as a potential “punch to the face” that involves the number 172.

Here is a brief summary of what will simply be called the “172 Plan” :

**Talks are ongoing and more numerous between Team Trump and a second party over the last 48-hours.

**If these talks lead to an agreement, it will be a game-changer in the 2016 Republican nomination process.

**Manafort is said to be personally leading the negotiations with Donald Trump’s full approval. In fact, it’s believed Manafort was the first to suggest this scenario last month but did so then more as an observer of the campaign. Now he is a top-ranking operative/adviser for Team Trump.

**This ongoing negotiation has sent the Cruz campaign scrambling to block further negotiation from materializing and getting a considerable assist from powerful GOP forces.

What conservative bill has Cruz led thru senate passage?

What has the GOP done for you the last 20 years?

Those like you who don’t demand much, don’t get much.
Time for something different. Something more than chest pounding
and grand standing. I willing to take a risk on Trump not because
he is the most conservative, but because I believe he will get a few
conservative things done, which is more than I’ve gotten for my support
of the GOP the last 20 years.

You mean the guy who renounced his Canadian citizenship just a few years ago?

You mean the ‘hard conservative’ who’s deeply connected to Jeb and Family?

You mean the college ‘master debater’?

That guy?

Also the guy who coauthored the op Ed in the WSJ supporting TPA and destruction of American jobs, That conservative Ted Cruz.

I will just add this to the discussion but there are three possibilities for what the 172 plan could be. The first two were mentioned. Rubio, and the April 26th primaries being those two. I will just show the third, which is CA, which has exactly 172 delegates.

Yes, saw that when I was doing more research. Thanks for posting. So, now we have three 172 ideas. We'll see how it all shakes out.

...and when Trump gets in the first thing he needs to do is close that loophole

Trump can't do squat without working with Congress. He can't built a wall, he can't change the Constitution. Sure, he can issue EO's like Obama but they will end up in court just like Obama's EO's. And remember, it takes the House to appropriate the funds to administer those EO's.

Trump acts as though he single-handly will save the US. Have you noticed when he speaks of making changes it is always "I"...."I'm going to build a wall". To that I simply say...Do it Donnie...hire some illegals. Make a great deal on building materials. Don't just talk about it. The illegals are crossing the border NOW.

The problem with this little scenario is that while Rubio can release the delegates pledged to him, he cannot direct them where to go; they are not his to control. They are pledged to him for the first or first and second ballot and that’s it. They are not his little robots. Nor are they Trump’s.

Some people just don’t have the stomach for the political process as it happens in the real world. Such people ought to stick to knitting or watching Rockford Files re-runs.

Here’s another thought.

Google I 72 not 172. Notice the sign I as in interstate.

I 72 "It's the form on which USCIS requests additional evidence from an applicant or petitioner."

Manafort has more info on the Cruz eligibility question?

“A Time For Truth” and “principled” has no meaning to status quo politicians like Ted. Need a very strong stomach to blow those off the way he has and act like gutter politics is some sort of virtue.

Amazing how so called self professed “conservatives” bong the elite establishment kool-aid. Probably take it as an enema too. Drunk on it for sure.

I agree with Jim;

“70% of people in America know and dislike Trump,”

Yup, I’m one of them. (And dislike is too soft a word.)

Yet I will vote for Trump anyway, if he’s the nominee.

I’m not alone, by any means.

"If Trump has something to say, he should have the courage to face Ted one-on-one in a debate and say it."

When Cruz challenges Trump to a one-on-one debate, he is directly mimicking the whiny loser Jebby Bush, who did the exact same silly thing a number of times, long before Cruz decided to mimic him and do the same thing.

(See the following youtube video clip for one example of Jebby talking that same kind of nonsense about a one-on-one debate with Trump, long before Teddy started copying Jebby, by challenging Trump to a one-on-one debate too, after losing all their other debates decisively.)

Whiny Loser Jeb Challenges Donald To One On One Debate
(just like Ted Cruz started doing, after Jeb was clobbered,
and booted out of the race).

I could live with a Rubio VP far more than the others. He got sucked into the Gang of Eight thinking it would boost his career, typical politician. But I do think he’s young enough to study under Trump and come away a far better conservative than Cruz. And Kasich is pure communist, should run with Bernie.

The fact that the Colorado insiders rigged the vote and bragged about it on twitter.
Cruz and the GOP need a good kick in the teeth!

Trump’s faced off with Cruz 10 times in debates. Cruz is just missing the media he garnered by constantly invoking Trump’s name. He should learn to get press on his own and not by affairs or stealing elections.

Jim is right: "I’ve already stated that Cruz has lost it fair and square and should step aside for the sake of the country. If his continued efforts at thievery split and destroy the party, we’ll be saddled by Hillary or burned by Bernie."

Cruz lost the battle. Now we need to fight on and Win the War!

Trump vs. more communism Hillary

Vote Trump on November 8, 2016!

Rubio would bring, 1. first Hispanic VP 2. catholics 3. youth vote (he’s cute thingy) and 4. a very articulate, capable running mate.

I could live with it. I think right now it’s who’s offering the most and who Marco will think can pay up.
