Donald Trump Threatens ‘War’ With Ted Cruz [VIDEO]
The Daily Caller ^ | November 16, 2015 | Steve Guest

Posted on 11/16/2015 1:04:30 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Donald Trump says that if Ted Cruz 97% “catches on, then I guess we will have to go to war.”

Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Monday, Trump told Joe Kernen that Cruz has “been very nice and supportive of everything I’ve said, more than anybody else.”

However, “we’ll see what happens. If he catches on, then I guess we will have to go to war. But so far we haven’t,” suggested Trump.

“We’ve been very supportive we have a lot of same ideas. And you know, I’m very strong on border security and building a wall,” claimed Trump. “We will build a wall and it be effective, believe me. My walls are effective.”

“And we’re going to have a border again and we’re not going to have drugs pouring across and we’re not going to have people that are illegal coming in and just walking across in front of the border patrol people who want to do something but told to stand down. But he’s been very supportive, actually.”

“The headline doesn’t quite match what he said.”

You are EXACTLY right! It sure does NOT match what Donald Trump said.

I understand there are Cruz supporters who just hate Donald Trump for some reason, but hopefully if Trump wins the nomination they will give him their vote and not Hillary!

I will be voting for WHOMEVER the Republican nominee happens to be as I WILL NOT give a vote to the DEM candidate no matter who that happens to be!

And win what? Trumpcare instead of Obamacare? More government solutions to the problems that ail us?

The SOLUTION is to fight the cheating, not to risk electing a lesser candidate because Democrats cheat.

Again, I ask where the labor to build the wall will come from.

Well, Ted was wrong on the 14th Amendment and Trump was right. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

You need to re-think your definition of "hate."

Disagreeing with someone's politics and questioning his political compass, is a whole different thing than "hate."

The word "hate" is used by little kids when they ask their moms for something they really want, and mom says no. Little kids will say, "Mommy, you hate me!"

I hate government tyranny. I love Donald Trump, but believe that in all his good intentions and belief in his own fabulous skill and genius, he would increase government tyranny as a means to "help" the rest of us. That's certainly the direction he's going with his ideas on his "really, really terrific" replacement for Obamacare.

We need a limited government constitutional conservative politician to turn things around, not a patriotic celebrity billionaire businessmen real estate mogul showman.

You think I "hate" Trump? Think again.

Well, Ted was wrong on the 14th Amendment and Trump was right.

Sez you! I just did a quick internet search and even according to Mark Levin, Trump and Cruz are on the same page, both are right on the 14th Amendment.

Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.

“Trump is 69 years old. He will not want to be Prez for 8 years. Trump will never accept a number 2 position since that makes him a LOSER. . You don’t become a billionaire by being second best and a LOSER.. Trumps ego will not allow him to be vice-president of anything.”

I agree.

I believe that Cruz has learned a lot from Trump in just the last few months or so. As much as I prefer Cruz, I believe that a Trump/Cruz ticket would be very strong. Cruz would continue to learn how a strong no-nonsense leader operates. And at some point, Cruz would eventually be president. He is still young.

Donald Trump clearing the path for Ted Cruz (in some respects) kinda sounds like a divine political miracle ...

Who in their right mind would have predicted Yeb Bush polling at FOUR-Percent 85 days before the Iowa Caucus ...

And that Ted Cruz (the virtual unknown, alleged Tea Party psycho-case) would have received an endorsement (today, 2015-11-16) that even the Washington Post says pretty much wins Iowa for Ted Cruz ?

That political miracle is akin to the American Naval victory at Midway (1942) and/or The LORD opening the Red Sea for Israel.

Nope, I’m right and you are wrong. Right back at you! You need to dig a little deeper. Cruz believed the 14th granted anchor babies citizenship. He might have changed his tune now that he is trying to steal Trump’s issues.

Schwarzenegger never managed a business. He was primarily an investor. He did not build anything I have heard about. He did not hire thousands of people and sign paychecks on front. He managed his money quite well, but never actually run a business.

I hope not. My two favorites of the bunch.

Then we'd better hope Cruz stays a few points behind, because the Don is ruthless if he thinks he's going to lose. I couldn't believe he'd go after Carson. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he goes after Cruz.

I have to disagree with you. I warned everyone who would listen that Ah-nold was a leftist fraud and phony who would leave CA in worse shape, and he did indeed do so. Trump is NO Ah-nold and will not worsen the country in the way that Ah-nold did to Cullyforneeuh.

As for leaving politics to politicians, we’ve done precisely that and look at the unmitigated disaster that has left us in across the board from socially to fiscally. It’s time to elect individuals whom have actually delivered successful results in the private sector.

Of course. Trump is the top dog administrator, there is no way he’ll take the second chair, nor should he.

I agree he may step down after a single term, or sooner, provided the bulk of his policies are on track.

That was very cool! I check real clear politics periodically so I knew Carson was doing poorly and Trump well in New Hampshire but I loved looking at the rest of the charts.

Also that’s just where I would wish the rest of the states would be, Trump clearly out in front, Cruz second. Cruz by far more qualified but we MUST get the votes and Trump possibly could do that. Then as someone mentioned, Trump’s older, Cruz younger and if the economy turns around and the Union remains safe, Cruz could win President.

I am in total agreement with you and have been a strong advocate of a Trump/Cruz ticket for months for the same reasons you mentioned. I wish more people would think through this logic.

Cruz would shred Hillary in a debate and on the campaign trail. Don’t delude yourself. Cruz can win the election and win it handily.

Delivering successful results in the private sector is a world apart from delivering in the "public sector." The public sector should not only be non profit, it should be the last resort -- private companies should be doing most of it. The same way you warned everyone who would listen that Schwarzenegger was a leftist, I am warning YOU that Trump is the same. Look at his past.

We don't have an unmitigated disaster because of politicians, we have an unmitigated disaster because of BAD politicians.
