Presidential Election Observations by Free Republic's Patton@Bastogne
Post GOP Presidential Debate (Three) on 2015-10-28
Jim Robinson's Free Republic Conservative website is the premier internet forum for political discussions.
Since 1996 Free Republic's astute political observers have parsed and dissected Presidential Candidates better than anyone.
Last night's GOP Presidential Debate Three (Colorado) featured several developments and suprises.
Conventional MSM Pundits and George Will will predictably conclude that John Kasisch and Mike Huckabee are headed for the political exit.
Dr. Krauthammer and George Will also may lament that "Yeb" Bush and Christ Christy will probably be "expelled" after Debate IV.
I submit that Thursday's most shocking event (from a Strategic perspective) is what many are calling the "deliberate lie" from Iowa's (currently) leading presidential candidate, Dr. Ben. Carson.
Did Dr. Ben Carson lie about not having "any associations" with the Mannatech Corporation ?
Let the discussion begin ... Thread Contributors are asked to provide footnotes and references to any "factual" remarks they wish to make.

Does he have to break the law for it to count? Hillary would have been proud of the Whopper he told.
AMEN!! I heard what he said when asked that question and he did lie!!!
Stupid thread
uhhhh.....when you compare what Dr. Carson did to the illegalities of the Clintons, you’ve lost the argument.
Is that a bell going off in your head? BTW, I don't appreciate your posting that, whatever it was about Dr. Carson. What is your point? So he gave a speech at that organization. So what?
Grania makes a case for he candidate each and every day while you sit in Carson’s lap like a little feist lap dog yapping your head off at everyone who exposes Carson’s many weaknesses.
I agree. Also the totally unbiased moderator tried to make give the impression that Carson was on the Board of Directors of Mannatech.
He started by mentioning that Carson was on the board of several companies. He then basically asked “How could a bigoted, homophobe like you serve on the board of a company that gives benefits to gay partners?”
Carson did a great job answering that question and then the moderator asked him about his “10 year relationship” with Mannatech. I initially assumed he meant he was a board member there as well, when the truth waa he was a customer and a guest speaker at a couple of their events.
Using that standard, I can only imagine how many shady companies and organizations Hillary and her husband have a “relationship” with.
.
Carson sold his soul to Manatech.
.
He didn’t make an “infomercial” he did what was about a 3 minute testimonial where he spent more time talking about the benefits of healthy living than he did about the company or its products.
Find it odd that a supposed “Christian Conservative” thinks God is going to look favorably on this sort of gutter behavior.
Carson is at best 3rd or 4th on my list of candidates, but I find it interesting how some people (Trump supporters?) seem desperately afraid of him. They are trying way too hard to find any kind of reason to hate him, and it’s making them look ridiculous.
But he’s black and clean and articulate
Freeper men to be him
Freeper chicks ovaries beckon like daisies in Oz
It’s how it is and always will be
I’ll bet 999 dollars on it
I’m just coming up to speed on this issue but there seems to be something to it.
For example, Carson delivered remarks to Mannatech sales associates in 2004. In the speech, he talked about his introduction to Mannatechâs supplements and a personal conversation he had with the companyâs lead doctor.
“I started taking the product, and within about three weeks, my symptoms went away,” adding that he toyed with the idea of using only the supplements, rather than undergoing cancer surgery. He said in the remarks that it would be inappropriate for him to be an official spokesman or sales associate, but he does refer people to Mannatech.
Since then, he has appeared in Mannatech-produced videos that appear to be promotional materials. In 2011, he answered questions in an interview with Mannatechâs co-CEO and chief science officer. In a 2013 Mannatech video, Carson described his experience with nutritional supplements.
“The wonderful thing about a company like Mannatech is that they recognize that when God made us, he gave us the right fuel. And that fuel was the right kind of healthy food,” Carson said in the 2013 video. “Basically what the company is doing is trying to find a way to restore natural diet as a medicine or as a mechanism for maintaining health.”
Carson also talked about his use of nutritional supplements on PBS in 2014, and Mannatech promoted the interview on its homepage. While itâs no longer accessible, the Mannatech website had a specific tag for all articles about Carson.
Carsonâs campaign requested that Mannatech remove some videos and articles featuring Carson from its website. And since media outlets have started poking around this question, Mannatech has taken down even more, according to reporters at the Wall Street Journal.
LMAO
What is the lie?
There is nothing unChristian about vetting a candidate.
Carson is the one who totally misrepresented his involvement with this fraudulent company. It is not the first time he’s told a whopper during the campaign, but this time he had a pretty big audience.
So not only did Dr. Carson have surgery, he had no need for any other therapies. Except maybe some therapy for his bank account.
I’m a cruz girl through and through but I also take A LOT of supplements and appreciate carson’s connection to alternative health. I think this bitch fest is a nothing burger about him.
