This strikes me as, um, problematic, as all the kids say.
An FBI "A-team" is leading the "extremely serious" investigation into Hillary Clinton's server and the focus includes a provision of the law pertaining to "gathering, transmitting or losing defense information," an intelligence source told Fox News. The section of the Espionage Act is known as 18 US Code 793.
A separate source, who also was not authorized to speak on the record, said the FBI will further determine whether Clinton should have known, based on the quality and detail of the material, that emails passing through her server contained classified information regardless of the markings.
Now you might think that sounds bad for Grandmonster Hillary.
Nah, don't sweat it, says as progressive cretin David Ignatius at the Washington Post, a totally unbiased paper, swearsies.
The Hillary Clinton e-mail 'scandal' that isn't
Splendid! It's not a sneer without sneer quotes.
By David Ignatius Opinion writer August 27 at 8:37 PM Does Hillary Clinton have a serious legal problem because she may have transmitted classified information on her private e-mail server? After talking with a half-dozen knowledgeable lawyers, I think this "scandal" is overstated. Using the server was a self-inflicted wound by Clinton, but it's not something a prosecutor would take to court.
David Petraus disagrees.
"It's common" that people end up using unclassified systems to transmit classified information, said Jeffrey Smith, a former CIA general counsel whos now a partner at Arnold & Porter, where he often represents defendants suspected of misusing classified information.
Ah, the guy who defends people who mishandle classified information says it's no biggie.
You can read the rest if you enjoy bad writing which is dumb and partisan.
You may wonder, doesn't this deserve a flaming skull?
No. For some news, we note its import by an even more urgent signal than the flaming skull.
Some news is so enormous as to beg -- nay, demand -- a Realness Update:
(VIDEO-AT-LINK-WITH-LANGUAGE-WARNING)
Does anyone actually believe a Clinton will suffer the consequences of their actions?
You won’t like this, but, yes, I think if Trump is elected and Cruz is AG you will see an indictment. He’s the only Republican who would or could do it.
“A-Team”
or
“a team”
(we apologize for the transcription error, the parties involved will be spoken to)
THE FBI NEEDS TO CONNECT THE DOTS -— All possible connections WRT emails, State Dept activities, and donations to the buck-raking Clinton Foundation must be explored.
FACTOID Clinton and her senior staff routinely sent foreign government info among themselves on unsecured networks several times a month. Within the 30 email threads reviewed by Reuters, Clinton herself sent at least 17 emails that contained this sort of info. In at least one case it was to a friend, Sidney Blumenthal, an individual not employed by the US government.
The cunning Clintons are hiding plenty.....however, smirking Sid’s emails should sound numerous L/E alarms.
DOCUMENTED CONSPIRACY AND COLLUSION TO DECEIVE In 2009, the Clintons duped the public, by announcing Clinton crony Sidney Blumenthal, had been hired...... (wait for it) “to work at the Clinton Foundation on a project to promote Bill Clintons presidential legacy. “
(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)
But Sid’s secret emails show that, while on the foundation payroll, ostensibly “promoting Bill’s legacy,” Blumenthal fed back-channel, usually unreliable, intelligence reports on Libya to then-Secy of State Clinton.
Hillary sent Sid’s reports on to senior State official without attribution......as if they were her analyses.
REFERENCE The NYT reports extensively on Blumenthal’s secret emails to Hillary (emails she did not want revealed):
<><> the Clintons announced Blumenthal was hired @ $320,000 per year by the Clinton Foundation to “promote Bill’s presidential legacy”,
<><> at the same time Blumenthal was tight w/ American Bridge and Media Matters two Democratic groups aiding 2016 Clinton’s effort,
<><> Blumenthal was also a paid advisor to businesses seeking Libyan contracts (compromising US ntl interests, by marketing his influence at the State Dept);
<><> Clinton Foundation employee Blumenthal was secretly advising Secy of State Clinton about Libya, paid $320,000 per year;
<><> at the same time, Sid also pocketed $200,000 a year from Clinton political ally David Brock’s media operations for Hillary 2016.
Laws are only for us little people. The political elites make the laws; they don’t live by them.
Nope. I refuse to get excited, until some of these shoes actually begin to drop on Hillary. Till then, what’s one more investigation that’s never going to produce an indictment? When Bill Clinton starts trying to publically distance himself between Hillary and her bushellbasket of dirty deeds, or when Chelsea does it, then I’ll know the orange jumpsuit is now fitted, tailored, and ready to wear.
“Stray” currents at a high voltage are nothing to fool with.
I hate how cynical I’ve become over the years, but I suspect the entire purpose of this investigation is to complete the investigation such that by the time 2016 rolls around the witch and her supporters will be able to say, “that was thoroughly investigated and nothing ever came of it.”
I don’t hear the fat lady humming. Hell, I don’t even think she’s on stage yet.
To believe that evil creature will get (in any way, shape or form) punished for her legal and moral crimes requires a leap of faith that I am not prepared to take.
My feeling too. It’ll be over within 1 year.
They were called out to find her “NOT GUILTY”!!!!
No, she will be the nominee.
Wishing Hellary gets her crime slapped on her by the judicial system. Short of that just wishing that she goes away and GTH out of the political process for good. Just leave as a corrupted grandma and take the Slick One too.
It’s a tactic to get her to quit so somebody more viable can run. She will be basically given the choice of continual investigations into all her illegal activities or resign and the investigations go away.
It’s perfectly Stalinism.
And that is part of the Clinton playbook. They always reach a point in any scandal, where they say, this is old news, this has already been investigated, etc.etc. whether its Foster or Travelgate or Whitewater or Lewinsky, the Clinton statement is always that its old news , time to move on, etc.
And unless we see an indictment in the Hillary email case, that’s exactly what will happen with this scandal.
Another investigation no results.
.
Another invesyigation no results.
.
Another investigation no result.
Satan protects his own.
In the spirit of true dislike, I amend your comment. :-)
