Mild-mannered retired brain surgeon Ben Carson might just have had the biggest zinger in the GOP Debates. To many, his comment went under radar, but to others he showed his deep wisdom in his perspective in this Presidential race.
Instead knocking fellow Republicans, he focused instead on Hillary Clinton.
When asked how he felt about possibly facing big bad powerful Hillary as the Democrat nominee, he quipped, That would be a dream come true.
Dr. Carsons logic was unassailable and surprising no other candidate had such a brilliant answer. He said Hillary Clinton is such a train wreck that she couldnt possibly win, so running against her would be easy. He added that Hillary counts on the fact that people are uninformed and is the epitome of the secular progressive movement.
Lets hope in future debates that Republicans will focus more on Obama and Hillary and the whole liberal system rather than shooting themselves in the foot or forming that circular firing squad.
Carson says more with fewer words than all the clowns combined
Carson: “If Hillary is the candidate, which I doubt, that would be a dream come true.”
Ben is not convinced that Hillary will even be nominated. I heartily agree.
I get the impression that, outside of medicine, Carson has a somewhat limited comfort zone, containing topics that he can discuss with fluency and confidence. Surgeon General would be a good choice for him. Or, someone to help us restrain and resist the EPA.
After someone has had an outstanding career in pediatric neurosurgery, can any government administrative job NOT be beneath his talent level and allow except maybe the presidency itself?
Aside from Surgeon General, one other post in the current federal bureaucracy that might be appropriate is Secretary of Veterans Affairs (much of that department involves administration of the currently disastrous VA hospital system). Straightening that mess out will save lives. Dr. Carson has hospital administrative experience at Johns Hopkins.
He could also be appointed to a special position coordinating the dismantling of Obamacare.
I’d put him at HHS, seems the obvious position. Surgeon General is less important
He might be considered for VP but I don’t think he’ll get it. He just doesn’t have the experience. It’s a pity he’s from Maryland, I’d love to see him make a Senate bid.
He’s originally from Detroit, and some people irged him to move back to Michigan and run for Levin’s Senate seat last year, but he wasn’t interested (and had his eyes on the presidency).
Stabenow is up in 2018. Given that the two likeliest GOP Senate candidates (Mike Rogers and Candace Miller) left Congress and pretty much are retiting from politics, and Gov. Snyder would not get conservative support in a primary, I think that Carson would be a terrific choice to take on Stabenow. But he should move back to Michigan now (something that would only help his quixotic presidential run).
I think my biggest disappointment from the night came from the fact that NOT ONE of them mentioned the fact that the FBI currently has an open CRIMINAL investigation regarding Hitlerys emails. Not one. Shameful.
