My allegiance to this country is gone, and I used to be so highly patriotic. Its a very sad day. Let the chinese or russians have it, my allegiance is to God, I am done with trying to change this liberal godless cancer of a country.

Maybe true, but that's not the correct math. Sadly, and I mean SADLY - there are a LOT of decent Americans - really decent people - who have been bamboozled by both Obama Care AND gay marriage. They really do believe Obama Care is about insuring those people who can't get it, and they really do believe that gay marriage is really about love. They're fools, of course.
So when you subtract the foolish decent Americans from the informed decent Americans, you probably don't have a majority.

It is really. Even being the pessimist I am I am surprised. I won’t say I’m shocked but I am surprised by the silence by our side. I thought there would have been token resistance from the GOP but Recies pieces was out the door immediately capitulating and calling for moving on.

Glad you are done, you are a little weak in discerning what you read...makes it difficult to have a discussion.

I am not far from you.
It is unthinkable for me not to love my country or maintain an allegiance to it, as the commies within and without destroy our culture, economy, and society along with family.
Like you, I feel there is nothing left for me here and it is all just in God’s hands. I am all about the lord God now and the nation I love is no longer a high priority for me because I know that the decline and fall is certain.
I don’t know how rapid we will fall in to totalitarian oppression, but it is not going to take another 250 years. More like 50 years.
I still give humble thanks to the Lord my God for having me born to wonderful parents in the (at the time) marvelous city San Francisco, in the then top flight state of California, in simply the most wonderful nation of Freedom and Prosperity that God has ever overseen in the history of the earth.
I still maintain my allegiance to this great country as it slowly dies, but I know how you feel, and I am not one of the certain-to-be many on this thread who will accuse you of being unpatriotic for your statement.

I see in your statement a reflection of that feeling — that you never left your nation, but it is leaving you.
The culture is turning wildly different and it is not one of rising morality and integrity, hope and work ethic, Faith in God and love of family, but declining in those things.
And so I thank and give Glory to God for putting me in this nation at a time when I could still enjoy a large measure of Freedom, but I will never know why he put me here to witness the fall.
It is not just America. All nations of Western Civilization are committing suicide at a rapid rate. All of our nations were infiltrated by communists who worked tirelessly, relentlessly to engineer the downfall of all of our nations.
We lost the Cold War. We thought we won because what we could see showed we won. Beneath the surface, what we could not see — the communist takeover of the minds of the 1960s hippies who would eventually rule over use — we could not see until recently. And now it is too late.
Pray to God.
Apologize to your Grandchildren.
Enjoy what is left of the balance of your lives.
Because the great American experiment is coming to a sad and catastrophic end. Not tomorrow, but too soon to help your great grandchildren.
Nothing on this earth has made me more sad. I am grieved to have to see that, while I did not cause this fall, it happened on my watch. It tears my heart out.
So what do I have left? Nothing but the Lord my God and Jesus Chris, my Savior. And family. The world no longer matters. America no longer matters, because there is nothing I can do to help to save Her. And that really hurts.
Good commentary but the 10th Amendment died long ago, right after the Civil war. Not just with this ruling.

Every tyranny is the few ruling over the many.
We should not be surprised at where this country is going. As a democracy/representative republic, what is the end result of the votes of 300 million sinners? Not good.
The quality of a democracy will never exceed the quality of the press, and we know how bad the press is.
We all know the tribulation period is coming. When - who knows. Before that comes, the world will deserve the judgment it delivers, which means the world will become very evil, even in this country.
There are many, MANY scriptural promises of blessings and great heavenly rewards related to being and enduring persecution. Stand up, be bold in your faith. Our victory was won by Christ on the cross. We overcome by faith.
That is the sad thing. There is no where else to go.
I have sometimes wondered as an academic exercise where I would go if I HAD to leave America. I thought maybe Canada.
I think Australia is where I would go. They are a lot like us. Began as a bunch of rowdy criminals, became cowboys, settled a continent. I love the Aussies.
But at the end of the day, there is nowhere to go. America is the last bastion and you just go down with the ship.
For my entire lifetime since the 1950s, the die hard communists and the bed-wetting pinko liberals have been shooting holes in the bottom of this boat we all live on, while the conservatives go on polishing the railing.
Well, the bottom of the boat now is full of holes and the water is coming in faster than we could bail if we were bailing, but we aren’t. We are just watching the water come in while we are polishing the bright work. The band is playing on the deck of the titanic.

The reality is, every other boat of Western Civilization is sinking as fast or faster than they are. There is no in-tact life boat we can flee to. We would not be so inclined even if there were.
We are going to go down with the ship.
Fortunately for you and I and the OP, this is a relatively slow process that doesn’t cause us to leap out of the boat all at once, idetical to the slowly rising pot of boiling water that doesn’t cause the frog to jump out of the pot all at once.
