The White House Science and Technology Advisor, says an initiative is underway “with the goal of ensuring a climate smart citizenry in the United States.”
“In December of last year the White House Climate Education and Literacy Initiative was launched--with the goal of ensuring a climate smart citizenry in the United States,” Dr. John Holdren says in a White House video released last week.
“Whenever I can I use opportunities like this ‘Ask Dr. H’ initiative to communicate about climate change and the strong scientific underpinnings of our actions to combat it.”
“Based on our scientific understanding of climate change the administration is continuing to develop and implement a number of policies to cut carbon pollution in America, to prepare for the climate impacts that cannot be avoided, and to work with the international community so best practices for emissions reductions and building resilience are embraced everywhere,” Holdren continues.
A December 2014 White House press release announcing the effort says, “In response to an initial call to action made in October, more than 150 activities, projects, and ideas were submitted by individuals and organizations across the country, from more than 30 states. These included a diverse array of innovative approaches being implemented in K-12 classrooms, on college and university campuses, and in zoos, parks, aquariums, and museums to educate and engage students and citizens of all ages. Today’s launch includes a number of exciting new commitments by Federal agencies and outside groups.”
Among the efforts listed by federal agencies include “leveraging digital games to enhance climate education” by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and using the National Park Service (NPS), “the plan will assist NPS interpretive managers and practitioners in the creation and delivery of effective climate-change messages in the programs and exhibits across all National Parks.”

The snow is over the rooftops in Boston and there are still dunces that believe fervently in global warming, so there is no chance that these zealots will ever be “climate smart.”

Here’s an example of Global Warming (TM): young men (who else?) in Boston are jumping from 2nd and 3rd story windows into the snow, it’s piled so deep!
I guess I will be one of the stupid ones...and will gladly claim to be a climate change dunce.
The goal of these apes is probably to make it ILLEGAL to question anthropogenic global warming.
Hopefully they educate ISIS on the dangers of Glowbull Warming too!

If you want “climate smart citizenry”, the first thing you do is fire all the professors and weather “scientists” who claim the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has some totally disproportionate effect on the overall global temperature. Without that stupidity being bandied about, the average IQ of the whole world would go up immediately.
The content of CO2 in the atmosphere is only one of perhaps hundreds, or even thousands, of parameters of weather patterns and average global temperatures, and it is proportionately one of the very smallest in its effect. Water vapor has a much more vast effect on atmospheric temperatures than carbon dioxide EVER could, even if the concentration of carbon dioxide were to rise to anywhere near the concentration of water vapor even in the most arid locations on earth.
And it does not. Cannot, so long as there are green growing plants in the terrestrial parts of the planet, and in the shallow waters of the shorelines and inundated land forms.
Now oxygen, THAT is a highly corrosive element, and should be treated with great care.
Another phrase turned into a Newspeak lie: “climate smart”.
To really be climate smart, one would have to understand that non-linear dynamical systems cannot be predicted long-term without perfect, complete initial data, which is never available; that non-urban temperature measurement stations provide more reliable temperature data than urban stations; that global mean temperature was higher in the Middle Ages, during the flourishing of the Roman Empire and during the height of the Minoan civilization than it is now, and in the last case that it would be two centuries on if any of the global warming models has turned out to be right; that ice core data suggest atmospheric CO2 is a trailing indicator of global mean temperature; that a run of 15 years of data contrary to that predicted by a theory falsifies the theory and means that continuing to hold the theory as true has ceased to be scientific;... Exactly the opposite of what the Obama administration means by the phrase.
Just remember: War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength!

Well Thank God Obama is finally doing something about it.
The audacity of announcing a propaganda campaign and not hiding that it’s a propaganda campaign.
