Capital One QuickSilver. Are You Receiving Pre-Approvals After Receiving The Card?

Posted on 08/13/2014 7:33:45 PM PDT by Cruz_West_Paul2016

I can't be the only one who has been pre-approved for the Quick-Silver Card, then I get in in the mail,a week later I am Pre-Approved for another one.So I applied for the second one,I was approved!,then today,I got my approval for another Quick-Silver Card!,I guess Capital One has so many millions of customers that they just cannot maintain their records to the extent where they finally stop sending pre-approvals for the same cards we already received.

The number one card for getting your payment late...no matter when you send it. Be careful.

On the bright side, they actually do give you 1.5% cash back on every purchase no matter what. Just make sure you pay it off monthly.

If you are going to carry a balance, there are lots of better deals out there.

Why would anyone have a credit card?

Because they like making banks rich?

You know that they will be showing up on your credit score?

several reasons...

1)if my credit card number gets compromised they can't clean out my bank account like a debit card can and liability is limited

2)i get a nice breakout of my spending at the end of the year

3)i hate dealing with checks

4)it's better than carrying cash/having to hit the ATM for cash

5)i pay it off in full every month so it's free

6)i get PAID to use it with rewards

Wells Fargo has $0 liability if loss/theft of your debit card is reported right away.

How about that 5% cashback on purchases?
And they fight for me when a merchant tries to rip me off.

I love my Chase CC. They treat me like a King.

I had a checking account cleaned out by ATM use in Acapulco. TCF bank had the funds back into my account in two days.

mine is through my local credit union and iirc it is also $0 unlike when a debit card cleans out your funds, they are gone.

My impression has always been that Capital One were mostly bottom feeders, preying on folks with less than stellar credit records.

This is how we can recover from the Great Obama Recession — load you up with debt and then announce that consumer spending is going up again. Thank you for your service, the DNC

I get pre-approved Capital One card offers all the time. I got one today! This is all quite surprising since about 6 months ago I applied for a Capital One card and was denied. The reason? They said, "All three credit reporting agencies report you are being deceased."

So they turned me down when I asked with the reason being I am dead yet now that they have my name and address they continue to send me offers? Dumbasses.

I got a Discover card instead and have never regretted it.

Travel! I pay them off monthly but it’s impossible to travel and go overseas without one or two cards with a healthy limit.

That's good customer service - provided you don't live in LA:)

just wanted to clarify that *some* banks, Wells Fargo among them, don’t let a customer take the hit when someone steals their card. If you don’t use any credit/debit cards, more power to you! I do little else but my debit, then I can access the acct online 24/7/365 to see what I’ve done (for the past 7 years!). Just convenient.

You really think they don’t know they sent all those cards? I am sure they are hoping you will use them all, forget which ones you’ve used, and rack up a lot of debt. If integrity and honesty doesn’t work, the chaos and confusion may be more profitable for them.
