The newest movement to save the republic began this past Saturday on the grounds of George Washingtons old estate. Shortly before 9 a.m., nearly 100 state legislators from 32 states filed into the library that sits above the museums of Mount Vernon. It was state legislators only; supporters (and reporters) learned that the hard way, as they called for details or were stopped at the security gates.
Inside, the legislators said a prayer, recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and got to work talking about how to form a convention of states that could amend the Constitutionwithout interference from Congress. Theyd been brought to Mount Vernon by a team of five Republican legislators, whod circulated the invitation back on Oct. 22. Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states equal standing with Congress to propose constitutional amendments, they wrote. In light of the federal governments struggle to effectively execute the will of the people, theyd create a bipartisan and politically pure environment to figure this out.
I started the meeting with a discussion about what authority the convention would have, recalled Wisconsin Rep. Chris Kapenga, a CPA who was swept into office in the 2010 Tea Party wave. He was one of the five organizers of the meeting, and he emphasized several times that Democrats were in the room. This wasnt about any partisan goal. It was about states reclaiming the power theyd ceded, through stasis and lack of strategy, to the feds, by getting 34 states to call for a convention.

I will do everything I can to see that the COS movement goes forward. In these initial stages I am raising funds personal and otherwise.
I suggest they hire Mark Levin as an adviser.
Inside the secretive campaign by state legislators to pass conservative amendments in 34 states and rewrite the Constitution.
While interesting to see it through the lib-progs' eyes, I'm left with the feeling that the only way real change occurs will only satisfy the preppers and the Malthusians.
Levin is mentioned numerous times in the article.

And the establishment republicans will
A: be on board with it as saboteurs.
B: be totally against it.
C: call those states Middle Earth.
I think if this ever gets legs while Obama or any
libtard is in office, it will cause another civil war.
CW, this was an automatic in an America we are fast losing. And it happened everywhere such as every school day across this nation. Now, I'm citing it to you in order to emphasize that it took place. Back when, it was natural, like BREATHING...
I know. It’s like we looked away and our country was lost.
This has a biblical foundation. When people have internalized something is does not need to be fed to them from outside of themselves. At that point it is fixed.
But the next generations - the young - have to "get it" as well. Or all of this will evaporate.
So Jeremiah 31:33-34 predicts the following:
"But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days," says the Lord, "I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And they shall no longer teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," says the Lord..."
(And Hebrews 8:10 reprises the idea in fewer words, for the NT era.)
But when "we looked away", millions upon millions failed to install in the young's hearts that which you and I have had installed in ours.
And what we have now is the result.
You always put your finger on the right message.
An Article V / COS ping list is being run by ‘Jacquerie’. There is a lot of good stuff coming up and we should all get together to stay on top of spreading correct information in an effort to dispel media lies before they become mainstream thought.
Article V ping!
Thanks for the ping!
so that everyone is aware, I was informed about a group at
www.iamamerican.org who are in favor of an Article V convention, but they favor one amendment at a time. They fear that multiple concurrent amendments would potentially “open Pandora’s box”.
I am neither promoting or disclaiming this approach.
The media will have its hands full trying to demonize fifty individual legislatures. Calling them collectively racist will backfire.
My primary concern is back-door sabotage by the rat/rino complex. The elites of both parties and every federal agency are on call to protect the regime. There is no telling what they will surreptitiously pull.
It is not totally open ended... It has a stated agenda: limit the federal gov.
There are just multiple areas to address requiring multiple amendments.
Eg, repeal the 17th AND term limits
Okay. I understand but disagree with them. The first effort should be to reinstate a federal republic.
I agree with you: Repeal the 17th Amendment.

I spoke with State Rep Gary Banz’s (R) OK, office. (He was in a leadership capacity at the meeting, as I understand it.) Apparently, according to the lady I spoke with, the main focus appears to be a balanced budget amendment as the first attempt. That has a great chance of winning bipartisan support at a grass roots level.
I thanked him, and also called my representatives and asked them to look into it and support it.
