If you ever wondered why we recommend prepping, and stockpiling food and emergency supplies, one look at what happened this weekend Springhill and Mansfield, LA should tell you everything you need to know and will give you a glimpse at what this country will look like during a nationwide crisis.
Over the weekend, the debit system that allows people on government assistance to buy food, temporarily went down. The resulting chaos is a small glimpse at what I believe will happen, should the government plunge this country into some sort of economic collapse.
A couple of Walmarts in Louisiana decided to allow people to shop, even though the system was down and they had no real way of knowing how much credit people had on their cards. The resulting chaos had the stores shelves in Springhill and Mansfield, LA stripped bare, as food stamp recipients attempted to defraud the grocery stores.
When the system went back online, the grocery store found people who had as little as .49 on their Food Stamp cards attempting to steal over $700 in food. Local police were called in as the crowd started to turn ugly, and overflowing grocery carts were left abandoned in the aisles.

Throughout the country people took to Twitter threatening to riot.
A number of people, thinking the government shutdown had affected their food stamps, took to Twitter with threats of violence and rioting.(Continued)

Zombie Apocalypse -
(It’s not about the undead)
They were afraid of unrest:
A free for all wherein the entire store is emptied, equipment damaged and possibly injury to their employees and other customers.
No, Walmart will have to eat this one:

If you’re a walmart customer or stockholder you will pay one way or another though.
That’s their decision to make I guess.
As I posted on several other threads, the EBT customer base got ‘restless’. My local walmart is about 150 miles from the one in the link. Friends of ours were there Saturday when this happened. One ‘lady’ on hearing her card didn’t work shouted loudly ‘imma burn down dis store’. Other similar demographic individuals in the store shouted agreement and a great clamor began. Our friends got out of there as quickly as they could and we later heard that particular walmart started just giving the EBT holders $50 per day.
Better than losing *all* your merchandise, the store equipment and possibly someone getting injured in the free for all. This way they just wrote down some food. A free for all would have seen all the TV’s, electronics, housewares, clothing and everything else walking out the door as well.
I guess the folks that work for a living will just have to oay a bit more for their wal mart supplies at leadt until the stolen merchandise is paid off. us working folk love watching people on food stamps eating better than we do though, so it will be AOK.
Sadly, you’re correct.
Yes, there were black Confederates. New Orleans had a great deal of free black business owners. When the (damn) yankees occupied the city, they took to looting, raping women, burning, etc. A resistance unit was formed of free citizens, black and white. It was their city, too.
This was a test run for the real event coming.
The left has trained their mascots well -
threaten violence if “whitey” doesn’t give you what you want.
If you live in a jungle and throw meat to the wild animals every day in the hopes they’ll stay away from your village,
one day when you don’t have extra meat to throw to them,
.....they’ll come and have you for dinner.
We have created a monster with welfare and EBT payoffs (it’s no different than paying mafia gangs to “protect” the neighborhood,
... and it’s going to be difficult and extremely dangerous to quell this ravenous tribe.
Who was doubting there were black Confederates?
The idea of actually cutting off the EBT cards of the thieves until the amounts are paid off doesn't seem to occur to them.
AT THIS POINT, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE???????? /Hillary
The states involved simply were the ones serviced by Xerox.
You've certainly mastered contempt for the poor. Coming from one without sin, doubtless.
Freedom is everything.
