Sandie Zimmerman, wife of Jewish Voices Messianic Rabbi Jack Zimmerman, shares fascinating revelations about the true time period of Yeshuas (Jesus) birth in this YouTube video.
You will be surprised to learn it wasnt December 25! By looking at the biblical account and the timing of the Jewish festivals, you will be astounded at the fulfillment of both prophecy and the historical elements that clearly point to Yeshua being born at the time of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles or Feast of Booths), not in December on Christmas.

Since when do shepherds take their flock out in the winter? No green grass to eat then. Rather cold too. So yes Fall is the season for the birth of the Messiah.
I'll just stick with the Name of Jesus Christ ...as savior though I understand the Jewish People refer to Him as Yeshua......The entire New Testament was written in Greek and the word Jesus is the word that is used. It is not the Hebrew יֵשׁוּעַ which is Yeshua. So, it is simple..... Jesus is properly called Jesus.
"And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins," (Matt. 1:21). "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God," (Mark 1:1).
For people to say that Jesus' real name is Yashua or Yahusha or Yahushua, etc., is Jesus' real name is just a statement of pushing an agenda and not believing the New Testament text.
It is enough to know that at the name Of Jesus Christ 'every' knee shall bow....
Here ya go...
As I understand it, it wasn’t normal practice to overnight them outdoors when it was cold.
That was my point, shepherds sleeping in the fields is an argument against Saturnalia as the correct date.
We are looking at winter thru our winters....Bethlehem is in Israel...I know there are times it has not snowed for years in the winter...thinking I saw it was 4 years between at one time...and the temperatures can flexuate greatly.
I have no problem there were Shepherds tending at night in the nov/dec months.....but I do think the message is lost that God sent His angel to the ‘lowly Shepherds’ to announce Jesus’ Birth..in that day they were considered ‘unclean’ and vastly limited in social acceptability, if at all. But so much like God to choose the ‘unexpected’ when He works a great work among us.
Valid point. I know it does snow there in the winter, but perhaps not in any particular year, as you note.
Yes that is pictures of sheep in the snow. Where’s their feed or grass?
I knew that was your point, and you both are right. It is further evidence of Yeshua’s birth taking place at the fall feast of Sukkot.
"...go, and sin no more."
You cannot not sin this side of heaven...though when we come to Christ we come to Christ habitual sin is diminished...the ‘power of sin’ is broken...we don’t have to do those things we once did.
That verse..’go and sin no more’...is especially significant in that we now have a choice not to...the power of sin is broken. Habitual sin need not be so anymore for we have the Spirit of Christ within us to overcome.
Does that mean a liar will never lie again...no...it does mean when he does he has the Lord’s forgiveness when He seeks it...”If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins”,...even if we are not always faithful to Him.... HE always brings us back to Himself..so Great is His love toward us.
Sins that you commit after you’re saved are generally known as sins of the fleshly nature... which we do not put off until we go with Him.... They die with the flesh...
If we could be sinless here then we’d never die a earthly death...for the result of sin is death..and all men die earthly deaths....
Except according to you, one should continue to celebrate the pagan days of false gods and idols, instead of observing the actual days of our Messiah's arrival and departure; which just happen to be on the very feast days the Almighty commanded us to observe and keep FOREVER!
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, and will surely get us right on through the narrow gate to the city. /s
No thank you. I choose to do His commandments. For Yeshua told us he came not to change the law, but to fulfill - my faith is in him and I will follow him, not some brand of religion based on misinterpretations of the scriptures. Or one that can not count to three, or get the months of the year correct, or realize whose days they are actually celebrating.
Celebrate your iniquity if you wish, the time to do so is fleeting.
"One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike.... 'Let' every man be fully persuaded in his own mind'.... He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it."...Rom.14:5-6.... It is clear..The Old Law was taken out of the way when Jesus died on the cross. Now we walk the walk of Faith.
The scriptures describe the above events clearly. Yeshua came to fulfill the Almighty's plan as laid out in the Torah. Yeshua kept the law and fulfilled that which he was commanded to do. Unlike us, Yeshua did not allow himself to be taken in by the one cast down to earth. We have inherited lies. Through our actions, we stupidity observe days set aside for false idols and gods. How smart is that?!
It is one thing to do so through ignorance, it's quite another to do so knowing better. All sin is forgiven, with few exceptions, due to the sacrifice Yeshua made for us. Those who accept and follow Yeshua will receive the gift of life everlasting, and sooner than the rest, who will queue for the final judgment.
Much of the mystery of the Almighty remains such. We are told it will eventually be revealed. This mystery is much more complex than we understand, or probably even need to know for now. The timing of Biblical events, that have already occurred, are of such miraculous coincidence that only a supernatural power could have accomplished such. Unfortunately, the darkness of this world has managed to obscure these miracles by co-opting observances the Almighty instructed us to always observe. We now observe events based on some of the most hideous practices imaginable. For example, the practice of coloring eggs at easter, harkens back to when eggs were originally dyed with the blood of sacrificed infants (Btw, aren't we sacrificing infants to the god of convenience today?!). Is this something you care to reenact, now that you know the real meaning behind it - not me.
So you see, there are reasons we were instructed to do some things and not others (to keep the commandments). The others eventually lead to undesirable consequences. So it is important that we follow the Almighty's commandments, but not necessarily the laws of the Pharisees, Mullahs, Buddahs, Reverands, Rabbis, or etc.
This is what Paul taught and tried to explain, and what the Messiah taught his disciples to teach. We, in our limited capacity to comprehend, and also at times under the influence of the master liar who rules this world, haven't gotten it quite right yet. Those searching for the truth and exposing more of the lies, and outright deceit we've inherited, are doing the Almighty's work.
Instead of condemning them, we should try to evaluate and understand what they've found.
Intended to include you on #115.
>> “Instead of condemning them, we should try to evaluate and understand what they’ve found.” <<
.
AMEN!
It is ‘Not’ complex at all...but man makes it so... just as you have in your post....Jesus addressed those who did so...as follows:
“Woe to you, teachers.. ‘of the law’ .... you hypocrites!.... You ‘shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces’..... You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to”....Matt.23:13
“Woe to you, teachers ‘of the law’..... you hypocrites! ....You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded,... you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.”..Matt.23:15
“Woe to you experts ‘in the law’, ....because you have taken away the key to knowledge. ...You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”..Lk.11:52
Jesus replied,... “And you experts in the law,... woe to you, ....because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, Lk.11:46
There again, Yeshua is talking about the laws of the Pharisees, NOT the commandments of the Almighty, which he kept and never broke.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”
